Srs for those at lower leagues, go jungler, pick a jungler with strong sustain / strong level 3 (like Olaf / ww..trolol, not viable but ye Hecarims a good one, xin annihilates)
Take smiteless blue, rush enemy red (through midlane entrance, others likely already warded) smitekill it. Go kill enemy jungler at wraiths or wait for him at red, you'll be level 3.
Im not sure if this works at all with the jungler changes, so u might not be able to go blue -> red, but they will be clearing wolves anyway so you can too and still pull this off.
I literally have a 100% success rate on them burning summoners and about 70% kill rate. They never fucking expect it lulz. Im at scrub levels, but im pretty certain this would work up to a point in silver/low gold as ive done it at that level in duoQ before a few times. Clearly it doesnt work when people start throwing down a shit-ton of wards early but thats literally reserved for higher leagues.
The difference comes from you being lvl 3 with red buff and them lvl 2 :<
shhhh climbing ladder with 90% ww jungle currently gold 1 on my main. dont tell anyone. or at least lets keep it a TL thing.

As far I am concerned, it's a Nastrid thing (Nastrid being the best czech soloQ player, currently 15th in challanger). He plays almost exclusively top lane Singed and Zac, but when he jungles, he jungler warwick with decent success.

About Olaf, the slow's not that bad once you're on top of a target (I mean it's still a permaslow if done right). Reaching them, however, is a bitch. Kennen/Vlad/etc. went from doable match-ups with Q first and forcing chain axes to compensate for the poke (and free damage you take while running to pick up the axe as they run) to world of pain since even if you hit them, you'll need at least 2 other axes (probably more) and by then with the additional distance covered (since decaying slow -> higher average MS) they'll generally be too close to their tower for going on them to be worth it.
Then you had the s3 itemisation that makes it easier to get HP than resistances,or rather the other way around, and it becomes annoying for Olaf to get enough resistances to compensate BotRK/Liandry's/Elise/Jayce/Zac (esp. Elise and Jayce during laning) 's % HP damage. Especially as MR itemisation has been weakened a bunch. of course, you can still go for SV first item or something, but it's really not interesting as Olaf because it still gives you a rather low HP pool compared to E's cost (well you'll generally max Q anyway against champs with %HP sources who are mostly ranged, but still) and the need to survive the initial burst and incidental AoE that you'll eat while you're trying to non-gapclose your way to your targets.
I mean Bulwark isn't a bad item either, it's just not a good Olaf item (that's a godlike Wukong item tho), and Hexdrinker has no HP.
A 250 HP Shield might as well be HP. Unless you are actually complaining that it doesn't grant +2 AD on your W?
Meanwhile, on the subject of starting items for 1v2, both Expession and CTU's side laner NoName went Doran shield + potion when going into a 1v2 lane.
I like Smash's proposed adjustments. One thing I thought was cool about Olaf was the berserker low health refuse to die mechanic. Always happens when it's the enemy Olaf though... or used to
Hexdrinker passive will almost always be up. I'm hard pressed to think of many solo+jungle combinations that do no magic damage whatsoever, even if the majority of their damage is physical.
On July 03 2013 23:08 Alaric wrote: It's only HP against magic damage, while "true" HP would also serve as mitigation for physical damage and for your own E health cost.
Well you don't buy the damn thing unless your lane opponent is magical, but if he IS magic damage in any way, it's one of the most cost-efficient items in the game.
If it absorbs all 250 damage, then it's LITERALLY no different than 250 "true" hp to Olaf. It lasts pretty long (5 seconds) so it's not really an option to "wait it out" like with Summoner:Barrier, unless you somehow manage to get harassed down to 30% without an allin happening and you don't intend to back off and recall. (Why would you even do that?)
Well, yeah. I'm just saying even if you end up fighting someone who is not your lane opponent, you will almost always get the shield regardless.
Shields are arguably better than max hp, since there are more % total/remaining hp damage sources in the game (e.g. Silver Bolts, BORTK) than % missing hp (e.g. Elise spider Q). Not to mention Olaf benefits from % missing hp.
EDIT: Elise had her spiders through a wall while she was on the other side in OGN today (~5:55). I remember seeing something about this but am not sure how to do it - is it just get as close to the wall as possible, turn sideways, then become a spider?

Yep. You can do this at the ledge near blue buff and the dragon/baron pits as well
Solar Flare ( R ) Delay normalized from 0.5s~0.75s
I assume it's a little nerf? Or am I misreading it.
The impact used to be random from .5 to .7 seconds. Now it is consistent(though they don't say at what.) Overall making it reliable is a buff if it's still within those ranges.
Wow I just discovered how OP J4 is...He was free a week or two ago and he was pretty fun so I bought him and played him in ranked. Hes so strong I don't think I dont play any game without getting fed early game o_O
I think the only reason why his win rate is not super high is because the recommended items on him make him pretty squishy, which makes you weaker/useless mid/late game. I only lost games after being godlike due to buying dumb items but in the early game I don't think I've ever not been fed.
We all know what he does in the jungle, but if he goes top/mid he CRUSHES a lot of lanes and then can transition to building tanky after 1-2 damage items (depending on how fed you are). His level 2 all-in is insane.
In jungle yeah his early ganks/dueling are ridiculously good, and definitely someone you want to learn to win solo queue as a jungler.
