IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD
EDIT: A big difference I've noticed is that blue buff start blue side is tougher on the top laner, since he can't split wolf exp. If he gives you a smiteless leash he'll miss some cs and exp compared to the other guy, and a lot of top lane matchups lets you take advantage of hitting 2 first.
As a jungler I like starting red now for this reason, and also so I can red->blue and then choose between gank, invade, or clearing more. (Assuming bot didn't know they could still do golems, hue hue hue.)

And the other top can grab the small golem for that 1 creep xp for free.OP

jungle won't hit 2 if you share Buff Xp.

Your jungler won't hit 2 if you share exp.
EDIT: Freaking ninjas.

Back then you would be helping with wolves anyway so depending on your jungler's speed you might be missing something regardless. Just staying to cast one E as Mordekaiser at the risk of missing 1-2 minions seems pointless.

well melees are the exception, where you obviously don't give Autoattack leashs but if you cast 1 E on Morde and miss creeps you're doing something wrong unless you are terrible unlucky with minionfocus, you will never miss the xp though.

Yeah, I like starting the buff on my my ad+support side so no one misses exp, and I can get a smiteless leash -> 2nd buff -> gank top/mid who are at full strength since they lost no lane exp.
Given how common it is for purple side to smiteless blue -> red -> gank top it also lets your top laner (on blue side) to play aggressively knowing he's got a countergank coming.

I'm not sure how I feel about this whole new "Riven can jump walls" thing.

And that one E does much more than anyone realizes. It may not be quite as insanely helpful as the early days of leashing, but it still does more than you know.
In any case, the cost of leashing hasn't increased, and the value of a Smiteless leash certainly hasn't decreased.

exactly, depending on what kind of bot combo and jungler you have and the time it takes to get that buff low, ad+supp may or may not lose the first few creeps worth of xp

Start red on blue side, blue on purple side. Have the adc help untill 02.00 this will give him enough time to never miss a cs. Meanwhile the support helps lowering the buff before heading bot.
This is also smart, because your adc will hit lvl 2 before the enemy if they both help and arrive at the same time.

No, they spawn at 1.55 now, so the only thing to do is helping the jungler.
|
camping the brush oldschool tactics huehue
|
I was going to say something about how it's worth missing a creep to make sure your jungler has more health blah blah But then I got demolished toplane by a Riven that started red elixir after I missed a creep to help jungler
|
you should nevre miss a creep
jungles can usually smite blue nowadays and do small camps before next smite cd, it'll delay ganks but unless other junglers intend to invade red (ban nunu) its pretty safe
