Had a game today where i played leona, all of our lanes won pretty hard, stole and controlled our objectives pretty well, late game team refused to group got 5v1'd constantly (wards all over the map, btw, not getting caught) and they cought back up and won. Played 2 more where i had 1 dc and 2 0/12 bot laner, and the other game 2 dcs. I don't think the ranked system works very well edit: Also lost 14 LP from the game where i had 2dcs, gained 1 LP, 3 LP and 2 LP on my last 3 wins, respectively | ||

 To be fair SC2 gave me a rush in gaming i'd never had, "esports", big money tournaments, streams, i'd never seen it before and it was a dream come true, i remember sitting on my floor watching an ESL sunday cup with rotterdam in this fancy smancy studio thinking "holy shit, this is for a game O.O". The game is meh nowadays in my mind, but i love it for what those 3 months gave me. (Even blind-bought SC2 razer package, still use the keyboard xD)Switched back n forth a few times but ive settled on LoL after the release of HOTS. And this community just awesome. Cept neo. #SkumbagNeo. Arisen - that sort of gain / drop signifies the system thinks you way above your actual level so its trying to throw you back down, its broken as fuck though, so im not saying your bad. Also, how can you have a losing streak of 20 but talk about your last 3 wins giving you LP?? O.o And your on major tilt, go play ARAM / Normals and beast shit up for a few days. Helped me to no end to just stop ranked for 2-3 days but play league, i even beat a diamond player top when i played a 5's ranked for fun with friends, epeen GROOOW! And your going to get told off for posting here and not Q.Q thread soon, seen a couple of these posts last few days xD | ||

Consider this. As of the current patch, we have 113 champs in LoL and we get 3 bans per team. DotA has 110 heroes, 101 of which are playable in -cm (aka competitive games) and they get 5 bans per team. | ||

They sincerely should have changed the ban rate from what it currently is to something more robust a long time ago. At the very least, they need to up the bans to at least 4 or 5 champions now. This change is 100% needed. I'll be glad if Riot copied DotA's banning phases, but I don't think that's going to happen any time soon | ||

I did finally just break the losing streak however with a fun lee sin game, I did only get 1 LP though. As for playing aram/normals, I don't enjoy non competitive games, and playing unranked just isn't fun for me because people don't take it seriously. | ||

Yeah i dont enjoy non-competitive games either, but i have a cool bunch of friends that dragged me into ARAM with them and beers / trolling (them) makes it enjoyable. You have anyone you can play with? Try some in-houses with Liquidparty of the gentlemens club maybe | ||

Play quite a bit of SC2 in WOL, but as much as I tried I can't seem to like SC2. Finally quit in 2011 and switch to LOL. I'd wish I could say I've never looked back on SC2 but I bought the HOTS, and I can't even bother to finish half the campaign . Happy that I joined the LOL sub-forum. Contribute nothing though cos I suck and I am lazy. | ||

DotA has 110 heroes, 101 of which are playable in -cm (aka competitive games) and they get 5 bans per team. to be fair, new champs and reworked champs are also always banned in real matches but i talked this over with riot at MLG dallas, offering the same reasoning. the answer i got was actually pretty well-thought out imo. how many support champs are there (viable support champs pls)? sona janna leona blitz thresh lulu zyra.. then you get to the kinda shitty ones like taric soraka nami... after that you're looking at very non-standard stuff like lux, elise, jarvan supports. so if we up the bans to 10, what if those first 10 supports were banned? what would a support main play? how many ADCs are there? varus cait MF ezreal trist twitch draven... then vayne corki graves... then tf teemo kennen etc. same story. 10 bans, what if the 10 main ADCs were banned? what would an ADC main play? now obviously, as an advocate for weird innovative shit, i put forward the TL-approved "well they should get better, they should expand their champ pool, they should break the meta" etc etc etc. and that's fine and dandy for a community like ours, full of competitive players who want to improve and innovate. but our community represents a tiny fraction of the league community as a whole and riot's job isn't to cater to hardcore innovators and experimenters. they need to not alienate the bads, the noobs, the real meat and bones of league. we've already seen historically that riot's willing to nerfbat anything that's remotely strong so as to not alienate their largest audience, casual players. in this same manner, they won't open up the possibility of completely banning out an entire position from a casual player definitely not what i wanted to hear, but i see where they were coming from. | ||

After the first few GOM leagues I took a year long hiatus from WoL watching. The meta was so boring to me. Came back to SC2 somewhat when KESPA finally switched to it, and only now came back to it fully with HotS. The game is fun for me to watch again. | ||
