Zed's ult technically affects Hydra and BotRK actives equally, except (as I demonstrated here) Hydra's extra AD will actually result in more damage than BotRK can make up for against any target you could reasonably assassinate. The real reason BotRK is core and Hydra is not is that BotRK comes with utility, utility which comes very early in the item's build path. Hydra isn't going to help you chase someone down or escape, it doesn't provide as much sustain (12% Life Steal vs 15% + Passive), and super wave clear isn't all that useful on a champion who isn't typically expected to split push. | ||

I personally have a hard enough time ganking already and always have to check my opponent's items to see if they have wards. More and more, people are warding both their tri and their river. It says a lot when someone can sacrifice 8 creeps every 3 minutes just on the chance that they'll be ganked, and at lower levels people walk through wards all the time. It often feels like no lanes can be ganked and I've almost cleared my entire jungle. I think the low tier items meta reduces risk. Whether good or bad I don't know. The better team still wins most games. | ||

a lot of the purpose here came from a few questions and discussions ive had in TL about guides. I wanted to highlight the contrast between supports so people can figure out "oh this is what this support does that is unique!" etc. and not only give like a quick-guide to people who are like "ok i just picked nami for first time in a month, what should i max!?!" | ||

Only nitpicking I have is that "lane counters" could be replaced with sth like "strong against" because at first I thought that e.g. thresh is supposed to be weak against ezreal and kog. but that's probably just me. | ||

I dont know if "strong against" would be good.. maybe "Good partners", "Leona strong vs.", "Leona weak vs." | ||
