Avarice blade is pretty good. Lets say the crit part is worth 500 gold. Since the item costs 800 gold, that means you need a total of 300 gold from its two passives to make it worth it.
Now you're getting an addition 3gp10, which works out to an extra 18 gold per minute. Let's say you're the AD and you're a competent last hitter and average around 10 CS a minute-- so that's 20 gold a minute. Therefore, it gives an effective 38 gold per minute. The item therefore pays off in about 8 minutes.
+10% crit is also an effective 20% increase in DPS I think-- since a crit does 200% damage,100% crit would be an effective 200% increase, so 10% is 20%.
It's a 10% increase, you'll do 110% of your original damage (on average), the same way 100% crit is a 100% increase since you will deal 200% of your original damage (always).

How can it be a 100% increase if you do 200% damage afterwards? 10% of 200% is 20%, so if you increase your crit by 10% you increase your damage by 20%. This stuff is really not that hard. You just need to know the difference between percentages and percent points.

Anyway.
So Zed's ult gives him like 3 seconds of invulnerability. I didn't even realize that. Means he's like the best anti-towerdive champion?
Hmmm I really shouldn't have wasted 6300 IP on 2 rune pages, the outplay value is so high...
Oh another thing I've learned, buying a stack of 5 wards on every back if possible and placing them everywhere = +ev play

zed's ult makes him untargetable for like half a second, where do you get that 3 seconds from? its certainly nice to use as a crucial dodge though.

oh my god this math, it hurts my soul.
If your math was right, you would do triple damage if you had 100% crit. You do not, you do double damage.
10% crit is 10% damage increase assuming crits do 200% damage. Note that crits do not do PLUS 200% DAMAGE. They do +100% of your normal damage (normally you do 100% damage, you instead do 200% damage.)
If you want to check empirically: Damage from 10, 10 damage hits, with 10% crit (1 attack crits) - 110.
Now, if you have IE and the mastery, the math changes a bit because you do +155% damage on crit instead of +100% damage on crit, so 100% crit is 155% increased damage, and less crit is proportionally lower.
If you're being bad at math for april fools, well, you're a bad person and you should feel bad.

No way it's half a second, it's the whole dash and also plenty of delay time after he reaches his target. I guess 3 seconds is max distance though.
Oh yeah one more thing I've learned: On most APs need Zhonyas first or second major item, that active is stupid good.
The next time I get mid Kha'Zix I'll try Zhonyas as my survival item.
