I don't know if its ever been suggested, but why doesn't Riot give players a certain small number of "trial credits" every week or month where they can play a champ they don't have? You could decide that a champ sucked, there goes your trial, or "omg great i want" and then maybe you'd want to play him so much you'd be a scrub and spend RP on him.
It would be limited to playing the champ in a normal or custom game though, and credits wouldn't roll over from one period to the next.

Solution to trying new champs issue: all random custom games random from the entire champ pool rather than just champs you own.
Also solve the issues of someone getting the same champs over and over in all random games when they don't own that many.

Speaking of ARAM, I've gotten Sona in literally half the ARAM games I've played recently. Needless to say, I won all those games, hehe. (Chalice + mana manip start so broken). So broken.
I'd say take away refund credits, you bought it have fun until you get more IP. I personally always just play champs on PBE to decide if I want them.

I think this will be good for the ARAM queue when it gets added. People already dodge incessantly when they get a bad champ/can't trade for what they want in customs, no need to add to that.

ARAM dodge queue is going to be pretty hilarious
I'm kind of annoyed that Riot is catering to the uber-casual by adding a queue like this but won't give Dominion ranked...

I would support dominion ranked if it was only ranked 5s. Anything that encourages people to team up rather than take solo queue super seriously and rage.
