I really need to stop buying champions which i see in pro games. They always get nerfed within a few weeks. I should probably just pick up some obscure champion that noone plays and learn him to the max, at least then you have some sort of consistency and don't have to deal with him changing the moment you understand how he works. At this point anything that can be seen in pro games is likely to be nerfed within a month unless it does absolutely horrible. To be honest, it is getting kind of annoying, and it leaves this feeling that the balancing team at riot really just looks at pro games and streams and nerfs whatever they see there without a second thought. Then they randomly buff something else until someone picks that up. A more stable enviroment would be really nice in my opinion.

Wrong. Viktor remake has been mentioned for a while now, and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets out in a couple of months. After the remake, the pros will pick him up, and he will be immediately nerfed Riot-style.

I suppose, still you could squeeze a couple months out of it. Also it's not a total overhaul, it's mostly been hinted that he'd get an additional upgrade on his passive.

Also, i think i saw viktor in one of the MLG qualifiers, and he won. So don't be to comfy on that chair, it might soon lose a leg or two.

Knowing riot's track record, viktor won't be remade for another year, lol.

Victor is still incredibly underplayed despite being pretty strong overall, if they nerf him (or sees series play in pro play) in the next month or two I'd be shocked (baring a rework).

Yeah the Equalizer nerf seems insane. I mean it was generally accepted it was strong and probably needed looking into but shit, getting rid of ALL of the initial burst is crazy..

well to be fair the dot portion of equalizer is getting a pretty huge buff. and rumble was pretty damn ridiculous anyways.

They never talked about a remake, don't go around spreading stuff like that. They've just been thinking about how to make his passive more "evolution"-like (and not being used for Augment: Death in 99% of games) from time to time since his release.

You scream "I wanna get an advantage in the early game and leverage it heavily into the midgame or I'm gonna have huge troubles" though. Viktor is bad at fighting ganks, and once the enemy frontline gets tanky enough to not die to your ult (not even shrug it, just not lose half their health to it) you're a burst mage in this non-inviting meta with worse falling-off issues than others in late game due to his passive.
(The popularity of aegis doesn't help, but now that pro teams stopped rushing it immediatly after Locket on their jungler unless fed, we start seeing it less, fine by me.)

Edit for below: when was the last time they nerfed Anivia? (Just checked, once for Maokai's patch, another one for Udyr's, rest is beta.) So yeah, if they deem her "fine because hard" like Anivia you're pretty set.

Syndra would likely be a good champion that isn't going to get nerfed anytime soon because she's so difficult to play that it's hard to justify. Kennen would be another one. I think there's many very good champions that aren't played just because no one dares to try them.

Which doesn't surprise me with this community. Impossible to try something like solo top taric when 3 people vow to report you before the game begins, for example. The entire scene is anti-creativity and if someone is creative and figures out something that's creative and powerful it gets nerfed right away. If someone is creative and doesn't do well they get mass reported.

Zac's passive makes Trundle so, so, so sad:

Each time Zac hits an enemy with an ability, he sheds a chunk of himself that can be reabsorbed to restore [4% of maximum Health] Health.

(Fwiw, as long as he spams W and gets to collect the chunk, he has around 1% health restore per second. Mundo weeps too.)

Zac's abilities have health costs don't they? The RoG patch preview doesn't seem to have them listed, but I doubt they'd give a champion straight-up regeneration on that scale. If the chunk gives him 4% of his max health but his abilities cost more than that then it's more a mechanic to keep his costs in check than anything else.

They have health costs, but RoG doesn't have updated them yet (they could since they have preview videos, but I don't know if they edit their datamining accordingly or just keep it at what's in the files). Didn't seem as impactful as Mundo's W from the video, though.

Edit: nvm, they just did it. Apparently he's paying in %current health, which means resistances are probably going to be better on him than HP, actually (especially since the bloblets from his passive only have 10% of his max HP but half of his resistances), and his ult seems to be frree (reminds me of the energy champs). His E would be pretty costly, at 12% current health. Along with the pretty long CD I'm not sure if he's going to be better than Lee/J4/Vi at sneaky ganks, but he has a ganking kit anyway.

Assuming these are accurate ZAC seems quite ideal for a semitanky max CDR build, perhaps with some flat mpen. Unstable Matter seems insanely good and this would pinpoint him into the role of anti-tank, precisely as most tanky champions currently stack health and armor.

I hope his passive is limited to 1 chunk per spellcast and I also hope that all his abilities cost more than 4% of his max hp most of the time. If he can heal by spamming max CDR W for example it could become really stupid really fast.

His tankyness also makes him totally anti-sustained damage. If he can burst squishies as well it could become dumb. Also doesn't seem to be lacking in CC.

Iceborn Gauntlet almost certainly core.

If his health costs are % current health he's like the ultimate towerdive bait troll. Barrier might actually work?

Yeah the only thing that has been hinted at so far for Viktor is a second upgrade for each augment. It was accidentally included in one of the PBE patches.
