Was this situation played out bad on my team's part (our AD carry was not too skilled) or is there any validity to this strat?
Edit: to above, played Ez last night and went 12/2/12 with the Master Yi support. I can't say it felt that different than previous games. Now that I think more about it though, I did have trouble cs'ing the first few levels... I'd like to think this is why ^^
I think there's a level of aggression there that's too hard for a lot of teams to handle because they never see it, and that kind of advantage for the other team is never good. But honestly, it sounds like A) there were some team comp problems (Sej mid... I dunno... if it's good, it seems like this person wasn't playing it well) and B) poor strategic choices (because MF bot should NEVER have gotten ANY farm against a 1v2).
I don't think I'm oversimplifying this, though it's possible.

Oh... yeah. Ugh. More viable, yet unfortunate result. =/ Seems like it was inability to adapt to an unfamiliar strat, especially when off to a bad start.

Quite happy about the Alistar headbutt revert tho.

Does it matter when you have essentially a 7-8 second flash?
|
jiji has always been to me "that one guy that never speaks up when CLG fights with each other". Never spoke the few times I watched his stream either. Watching him stream now though he seems really happy and chill, it's a lot of fun to watch the real jiji without all the Hotshot vs Chauster vs Doublelift crap.

imo the most hilarious thing during clg scrim arguments was when they argued for 10minutes and the Jiji was like:
Wtf are you even arguing about shut the fuck up retards.
edit: cool hovering over your ad now shows AA range

The attack speed nerf feels so random.

I mean his valkyrie does damage if you walk over the trail so there's that.... oh wait.

Because they want ez to be highly mobile, but do less damage early on I guess.

Yeah... that made no sense to me. Arcane shift is a better escape, even if they added 5 seconds or so to the cooldown it would still be THE shortest cooldown of any ADC escape in the game because of the cooldown-reduction from Q. (Well, Quick Draw could potentially be shorter, but how often are you using QD as an escape and then autoattacking constantly for the next ~10 seconds?)

The base attackspeed nerf on Ezreal is bigger than people realize I think. It nerfs everything, from level 1 trades to attackspeed with items (it'll also take some time getting used to..) I still think ezreal was fine. A little nerf would have been enough. At this point I think they wnat to nerf him to the ground and make him a niche pick again.. zz

it actually makes perfect sense with their philosophy, this was one of the few nerfs they got correct this patch. They want each champion to have their own niche, and this helps ezrael fit in more with the good early/game slippy champion. He was too good at all stages of the game so they nerfed his innate AA damage to make him even weaker against hypercarries late.
|
Well the attack speed makes it really weird autoing early levels but later it's not that much of a change.Like you will miss some cs early because you are not used to it but that's all.Still a solid pick.
But still a lot of people overrate him. It's quite easy to beat him in lane(in ad vs ad perspective).MF/Draven/Cait are really strong(also when other team picks ez I am happy because it means I can vayne :D).But really you can win vs ez with every ad at roughly even skill or at least make it a farm lane.Support is what dictates bot lane more that ad(unless it's the best champ Draven).

You realize that the way BAT works, the effect of a BAT nerf is MAGNIFIED lategame, not reduced, right?
If it's bothering you more early game, it's an issue of comfort with the animation. Because numerically, the nerf is MORE relevant lategame, not less.

The reason they gave for nerfing Graves was "He uses a giant shotgun, he shouldnt be attacking so fast at level 1" Yet it feels no different at all to me. Just as easy to last hit and Auto + Buckshot still works just fine infact even with the "Huge AS Nerf" Graves is still my highest winning AD. Auto + Mystic Shot will be just fine too imo people are overrating this nerf pretty badly i think.

One thing is for sure. If riot further nerfs Ezreal, I will lose all the (little) trust that I have in them left.

I know that. But today just with a zeal/zerkers his animation seemed comfortable enough with 5 stacks. That's all I care about.Early game less attack speed means that it's harder to judje when to cs because it's easier to get harassed.

it definitely wasn't needed for competitive play, but above 2k elo there is way too many people that you lolking and see their most played is ezrael at 70%+ winrates. I guess everyone is just really good at him. (more likely is that hes way too good against unorganized play)
|
It's easy to win lanes (and games) if you're better than your opponents. Like, he rewards skill. People who can't play him eventually gave up and people who could rock big win rates. I don't think Riot should be balancing around soloq winrates unless something is inherently broken (like Eve)
