You want 22/8/0 for masteries. The first clear might be slightly better if you invested in more AD masteries rather than AP/Magic Penetration, but there's no way that would be worth it later. E at level 1 is faster and safer, it interrupts creep auto-attacks and gives you some leeway to kite Blue. You must kite Blue if you're on your own and want to have a prayer clearing. You can take Q first, but because you haven't stacked any souls at level 1 the passive damage is negligible and the hook often his the small wolves/lizards instead of your desired target. I would only take Q if there's going to be a level 1 team fight/invasion that you'll be fighting and your certain your team will leash. I haven't run tests yet on his jungling past the first clear, nor on his soul collection rate as a jungler. According to the wiki the enemy won't see souls in their lane if you're nearby unless they can see you, so there's no tipoff. As a final note if you time it right you can jump to the enemy during the second tug on Death Sentence, maximizing the distance they're dragged while also placing you on the other side of them. You can actually see this in the spotlight (at 1:05). I was wondering who might be testing his jungling on PBE. I tried a few times in solo customs but never found a comfortable opening. Solo wolves> blue just felt brutal. Definitely seems like a target for invades. Have you found any interactions with the AA magic damage on his Q passive? I can never remember the details on damage interactions, so I wasted some time to see if life steal, spell vamp, rylai's etc would do anything. Beyond building magic pen for it, I didn't think of any ways to maximize it's effects. | ||

Draven may be the worst person to get bortk over a thirster beacuse of the 60 ad that your not getting from the thirster. Agan bortk is only better then a thirster if its the only damage item your getting otherwise the scaling that thirster does with other ad items makes it better. | ||

That's really not the right evaluation to make about BOTRK. BOTRK scales fine with AS and Armor Pen (it's physical damage), but doesn't scale well with crit, and doesn't provide AD for AD-scaling champion abilities. BT doesn't scale as well as IE does for crit, but still is pretty good in the crit department - especially if you DO add in an IE. BOTRK does more damage than BT when your opponent has more than 1600 health (and also provides more sustain, and has a pretty cool active, and an arguably smoother build path.) For BOTRK to be good you want to be a champion that: A) Deals a significant portion of your damage with auto-attacks. * B) Does not have a significant desire to use Crit as a damage multiplier. Other damage items are fine, and do not make BOTRK less effective compared to BT, as long as they're ArPen / AS / AD damage items (remember the BOTRK active even takes your other AD items into account!) The options above are the only ones which are necessary to have BOTRK perform at maximal effectiveness. * Also, abilities which apply On-Hit effects, and abilities which multiply damage dealt from other sources (Zed Ulti) | ||

Not saying I agree he will be way OP but I think supports deserve some crazy powerful champs. No one ever wants to play support, it's by far the least popular role in the game. I can't stand playing support but if I had to choose one I'd go with Blitzcrank, not really because he is considered "OP" but because his kit is fun and can severely change the tide of a game, just like a well played mid or adc etc etc. | ||

Right, without assistance (or some mad blue kiting skills as he's ranged) he's very vulnerable, hence why I really don't recommend anyone jungle him who isn't an extremely serious/experienced jungler. Q passive should have no interactions with Life Steal, Spell Vamp, or Rylai's as it is an on-hit effect (like Wit's End or Malady). Maximizing the passive is simply a matter of penetration and attack speed (its minimum damage is equal to however many souls you've collected, which can be 100-200 or more). | ||
