It's quite simple. When you want to nerf something call it toxic. When you releasing a champion that has similar mechanic to something you called toxic before say how you will never release a champion like that again. Riot devs seem to be 90% marketing speak.

What exactly is with Karma's win rate. I really don't understand it. I know she's subpar, but you'd think that with such a low amount of people playing her, she'd be good by those people.

I don't think that winrate proves they have been nerfed too much. It could mean that people that were playing them only did well because they were overpowered now don't know how to properly play them. Dunno too vague.

Sometimes the people who play an underpowered champion are simply those who don't know any better.

If we get warned for not posting on topic, we'd all be fucked.
Also, champs that were previously OP will often experience lower win rates after a nerf because people were used to facerolling for a win, so now they actually have to know what they're doing.

Well, yes, the fact that her lvl 6 abilities pretty much scale to the same height as everyone else's lvl 5 abilities certainly hurts things. But I actually like her W.

? are you kidding me? Riven's 1v1 lane is still one of the best, she has very few "losing" match ups, the rest are skill match ups.
Her real weakness recently, is inability to 1v2 appropriately, requires GOLD to do her job properly. You could essentially play Malph, and contribute equally to the fight as a Riven, but with only half the gold. Also, with GA nerf it hurts Rivens ability to tank after first BT.

problem with karma imo is the same as pre rework eve. Pre rework eve was actually still good if you could somehow get items (get your lane camped w/e) but ppl would give up the moment they saw her picked.
not that I'm an advocate of pre rework eve top winning all matchups or anything like that l0l

edit: to an extent, it's incredibly strong in some teamcomps. Diving bruisers get a huge benefit out of karma's w.

A huge part of karma's subpar winrate is that a lot of people only pick her to troll.
That and they play her as 0 cs support gg
