If i want to play veigar i'm playing veigar. If that means i have to play jungle veigar fine but if you want a T1 jungler then pick one yourself, in normals ofcourse.
I don't quite agree with this, I don't play ranked because I don't want to deal with the stress (I know it's just a number but I know if I tried to get an elo I would be bothered if I thought it was too low). I guess people don't have to conform to the meta, but it's just annoying when I expect a standard game and end up with jungle Irelia or support Panth (because you know, he has a stun). If you want to dick around in blind pick that's fine, but I think normal draft should at least be taken semi-seriously.

Also Locket seems like the new go-to item for supports. CDR, armor, health and that shield. It's really support's wet dream.

Agreed. I believe the infamous ARAM incident at MLG Raleigh was the last time they played, which Curse actually won. They lost the ARAM but then beat Dig 3-1 in normal games. And that was when Westrice started top, I think they are a better team with Voy.

wardens mail is still the best first item for tanky supports. its a lot cheaper and you don't need the hp regen now that you have a bottle. Locket stacking is pretty lulzy for anti aoe team comps.

Jungle irelia and support panth are perfectly viable in normal draft -- it's not like they're completely stupid, as you said, panth has a stun. Panth is actually part of some of the more insane kill lanes bot -- be more open minded about teamcomps esp. in normals

I think jungle Irelia and support Pantheon are OK even in ranked. They are not that bad. I do get really annoyed if someone plays, say, support Katarina.
I don't like people "picking Veigar because I want to play him" in normal draft though. If you want to play a very specific champion you should be playing blind.

Bad examples on my part, they were just fresh in my mind because I played those games recently where people picked those champs in those roles and lost with them. They were probably just having a bad game. That second point was more what I was trying to say anyway.

Idea:
Team all starts machete for 10 true + 10% bonus vs neutral, goes for a really quick dragon and ends up with a lot of experience and +100 net gold. Worth it?
I remember TPA or something going for a 2:30 dragon, thought it was pretty cool. Might be even better now with the machete.
