And guides nowadays are pretty open-source. You can take what other people say, put it into practice, and if it works then you put it in the guide. In fact it might even make you a better player. Instead of rationalizing to yourself that "Champion X beats Champion Y just because" you will know exactly why that is and what can be done to counter every step of the way and you would probably be able to pull the reverse off as well. That actually sounds really interesting. I want to give it a try now. I actually have one written up fro S3 Volibear, but I've kind of given up on him since my losing streak with him in ranked. Maybe I'll do some more since I'll be avoiding ranked like the plague lol.

Well the thing is, most high level players generally don't play that aggressive in lane unless they're sure they will come out ahead in a trade. "Safe" play is optimal not only due to the threat of jungle ganks, but also because aggressive play is more easily punished. It's why aggressive players like Regi seem so inconsistent; when their aggressiveness works out they look godly and shit all over their opponents. But when it doesn't work, they get punished for it and they look bad.

In which case I hope the guy that started Doran Ring dumps all over you. I think the bottle/ward opening is going to be more prevalent then you will like.

With GP10 masteries and runes as well as 50 starting gold you can get the sightstone at about 3 min with just the passive gold gain. And could be even faster if on blue side you give golems to support so they can get it immediately. This basically takes care of your ward needs for most the early game. The only problem with this is that you have to leave your ADC to be alone in lane while you back. I don't think its that bad unless your laning with someone that can be zoned. I just don't think that starting with the 4 wards as support is worth it when you are so close to the sightstone. Wow. Gonna do this.

Better yet, have your AD give you the first 2 waves of minions so you can back immediately. You can be back in lane around when the enemy jungle finishes his double buffs.

Or would you rather run armor pen reds / AD quints? And I assume you still want 20+ points in offense for armor pen masteries.

Beat up on lane opponent early with the regen from the pots, once you've used up the 3 flask pots, back, buy boots and a ward, and teleport back to lane with 3 fresh pots. Somebody tell me if that sounds legit. No. Flash Ignite all day urry day. Also tune in to Saints stream only to see him get outsmited by Azingy l0l

Ruby Sightstone asap on Nunu, into Aegis. The idea is that your support can actually build legitimately good items because you ward ALL the things. Why try to use carry junglers when junglers are gonna get even less gold most likely, eh? Probably Spirit Stone into Aegis on Amumu. You need the regen, you need to clear stuff quickly and you need to be useful (that's what Aegis is for). Maybe the tanky Spirit Stone item with Tenacity might be pretty good as a follow up. The new big Aegis item has a lot of MR so that shouldn't be a problem. Still figuring out things for Skarner, ofc. Muramana crossed my mind. If you can get second blue buff you can fill it like, 15 minutes after you buy it.

If you take the golems as support then you have the 700 gold by 2:18 assuming you have gp10 runes and masteries. If you spawn purple then taking wolves you will have the gold by 2:25. If you cant take jungle then you will have the gold at 2:45 just because the passive gold gain would be 23.3 gold/10. Maybe if you can't get the jungle creep you can go and gank a lane level 1 hopefully get first blood for your team or help top or mid get ahead in lane and then go back to supporting your ad.

Like say on support Zyra. You can coordinate with your mid and use its active on his burst target, and it gives a big chunk of AP and CDR. Just brainstorming.
