How's the new jungle? Will be harder to carry 4 scrubs a jungler now or easier? The Hecarim buffs are only to make up for the damage he loses off of the boots change (his passive now gives 3 less ad off of boots 1).

does anyone know how the slow mastery works? does it reduce a 30% slow to 15% and a 60% slow to 45% or a 30% slow to 25.5% and a 60% slow to 51%
the former is useful for non gap closing champs but the latter is pretty useless (but then mastery points generally arent insanely good)

Damn, Riot is fucking around. I still feel like an entire year suspension might be a little excessive, athletes in other professional sports usually get banned for a couple games for excessive unsportsmanlike conduct. That said, I'm still glad they took some sort of stand on player accounts being banned, now everyone knows about the possible ramifications in the future. Bummer for Dignitas though.
Edit: And I know he wasn't the best jungler, but now they have to find a new player plus a sub for season 3 which isn't incredibly easy.

Meh I can't really feel sorry for the guy if he's been punished 8 times already. Like get the picture already?

It's multiplicative. So a 30% slow becomes 25.5%.
It also stacks with Swiftness boots. With both the 30% slow would be reduced to 19.125%.

Riot making a statement on how they expect pro players to act on the ladder. can't say I don't agree with it.

A year is fucking insane for what he did. Yeah, he was unsportsmanlike, so toss him out for a certain period of time. But when you compare that to some of the suspensions people get in sports these days and that's absolutely killer. You get caught roiding? 50 game ban out of 162 game season. Get into a fight in a basketball game? Even Artest only got 70 games for fighting fans in the stands.
And now you take a look at IWD, who's really a saint in comparison to some of the other high level players out there. What'd he do? He made fun of someone and made their life miserable. Boofuckinhoo. Suspend him a year for that? Absolutely ridiculous from my perspective. Yes, he's an ass, but people talk shit in game all the time in real sports. Just take a look at people jawin at each other on the gridiron or on the bball courts. Mic those people up and all you'll hear is bunch of Doublelifts and people threatening to kick each other's asses.

I mean I get it, dude's an asshole and probably deserves to have his account banned, then he loses all of his champs, runes, and RP, but there's no possible way he could have expected to be banned from competitive play for an entire year. I just feel like Riot should have warned pros about this possible fate ahead of time instead of just blindsiding one player and that being the revelation that this is even possible. I figure it would be part of the contract pros would have to sign before season 3 starts, but they haven't done that yet.

I don't know if they going to stick with the year. Feels like a PR move to shock people then tone it down later. Who knows maybe IWD was about to get benched for Dig and they decided to make an example of him

A few months would be enough. I guess Riot have warned him about something like this happening before the ban, otherwise it's kinda rough.

It wasn't based on one incident, this is more like if a basketball pro was getting into fights with fans every other game.

Depending on how long the Championship Series ends up being, I think a 4 week ban (first four matches of the season assuming each team plays weekly) would have been more than enough to make pros realize they need to improve their behavior. Changing the year ban will be interesting since there's no official appeal process like there is in other pro sports.

So he loses all that money they would of gotten by being part of S3. I just cant stop laughing. U rage so hard, that u lose 25k$+
Like how retarded is that.

I really like how bitingpig's icon is this huge explosion it feels so fitting for something like this.
On one hand, I kinda feel for the guy, but on the other he pretty much did it to himself. I am honestly kind of pissed off at anyone be they on a team or not acting like a jerk and thinking they can do whatever they want and not expected to be punished.
I honestly feel worse for Odee as he's already having a rough holiday with the whole house fire thing and then to see his League team's jungler allow this to happen because he refused to act like a proper human being to other folks on the internet, I'd be rightly upset.

Good news for Dignitas lol.

Sucks that they had to make an example out of him, but it's about time. League viewership is huge now, and LoL pros act like complete jokes compared to, say, SC(2/bw) pros.

Plenty of SC2 pros act like idiots.
IWD probably got warned multiple times, likely even in person and it would be right for Riot to warn his team too (this was his 9th time going up for tribunal?), so it sucks for him but it's not like he didn't cause this to happen.

Well, he got warnings and time bans before that, it was the 9th tribunal action. It would set a bad precedent if Riot said "Well, he's a progamer, permaban doesn't apply to him".
