I'm calling it, HSGG only buys captain boot enchants. splitpush all day. He's going to buy the new swift boots for sure, which are quite good now imo. And Captain doesn't help the user at all so it doesn't help him escape.

HSGG is the type of person to build team based items and then split push for no reason, then get caught. So he never actually uses his team based items.

Distortion is probably the best enhancement on paper, but there are definitely situations where you would want to build something else. Again I think this is another addition that allows for situational item buys to better adapt to the current situation.
Edit: That's why I really like that you can build the enhancement on any boot instead of each boot having a tier 3 upgrade with a unique ability.

in a video demonstrating the boots, it's quite clear that furor and homeguard are hands down the strongest 5x homeguard boots is going to make defending so easy. poke comp for enemy? lol okay you poke i recall and i'm back in defensive position in 1second. pushing doubles? hope you can get through 5 people full health 100 times
and furor is just crazy good in lane. downright darius

good lord, CLG EU games are going to be even more irritating to watch :/

One interesting thing I just learned from reading Elise is that her spider form lift E reveals enemies in a large range around her and her cocoon also reveals for a second. One of the most annoying thing about playing against stealthers is when they stealth and you can't do anything to them. With akali it becomes hard to trade so you need a pink ward to trade effectively with her. Other than lee sin, having another stealth revealing champion can be a great way to counter stealthers.

I need a quick confirmation, Darius is not overpowered. Most people who say he is overpowered are just looking for excuse 90 percent of the time, right?

He just does a lot of damage. People who say he's overpowered either pick a poor champ to fight him or just try to trade him in lane too much. (I remember i had an amp tome first vlad complain about him being the "most overpowered champ in the game" once)

For those people on the PBE, how are you finding Hunter's Machete and the non-Wriggle's Lantern items that build from it? I'm glad there's a caster-oriented item for the jungle, as well a defensive/tenacity item for the support/tank-y junglers, but I'm not entirely sure who Spirit of the Lizard Elder is designed for.
(Waiting to hear Monte's thoughts on his blog, tbh!)

Homeguard seems like it could be hilarious on hecarim.

How are people going Elise build/mastery/runes? I think I may pick her up.

I hate playing against him and feel he's very strong like Jax. Some of his best counters Kayle and Teemo can't fight him toe to toe and can lose a trade by getting pulled. If he gets ahead the lane snowballs hard. Maybe Yorick would be a good way to lane against him.
He's overpowered for sure but then again so are 50% of champs statistically speaking.

He's - a bully (from level 1 onward, his blade Q is ridiculously strong and his passive gives him an additional source of damage) - very snowbally (hits 6 a creep before you? Get all-ined. Gets a kill any time before you become significantly more tanky than him? HF having him constantly trying to get you. etc.) - extremely binary (If you outtrade him or can survive his ult and heal/kill him, he's toast unless he gets significant help) - and his skills requirements are achingly low (easy to hit spells, a pull is an amazing tool to counter a lot of escapes, his passive accelerates him to chase/flee, mixed damage intrinsicaly makes it harder to defend against him than for him to itemize offense, and a huge burst that doesn't commit him since it's only the end of his combo, making it easy to all-in for him and harder to bait his ult)
Such a mix makes the champ usually way harder to play against than to play as, which is very frustrating. The fact that his ult bursts you at the end of his combo also makes trading very annoying as you can't afford to waste an important cooldown or he'll have easy opportunities to punish him. Playing a harass champ is also annoying because of the "wear both down before the kill" that won't work (you usually enter his kill range way earlier than he enter yours, so you have to put more work into whittling down this kind of champs than the others).
He's not OP, but he's unfun and boring to play against, and his very low skill requirements can often draw "OP" accusations, as he appears much stronger than harder to play champs at low skill levels.

I think Distortion or Captain will be the standard ones, Alacrity doesn't seem big enough to warrant over them. Alacrity has inherent value from the fact that it's a FLAT ms boost rather than %, meaning that it's multiplied by % ms boosts, rather than stacking additively with them.
