Lanes snowballing is a real thing. Sadly people bitch and complain about it because it somehow justifies them being bad. I've snowballed all three lanes because I outplayed my opponent. I've been snowballed in all three lanes too. Lanes don't just magically get out of your control. You're either worse than your opponent or you fucked up and now you have to pay for it. Trying to make top lane less snowball-y might be a good idea but changing every lanes balance isn't. I don't really understand them. The whole game is built around the idea of "snowball". I think the only way to really get rid of "snowballing" is to have powercurves but they attempted to remove that too so they just kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place.
The only way to remove snowballing is to have everybody win or to just make it totally RNG. Ppl just hate getting outplayed, but hate admitting it even more.

It's now about snowballing, it's about how snowbally the top lane is currently. Which is way too much.
"Here, jungler came at level 2, fake a gank so you lost cs even though the lane didn't push, now you're zoned till there's 1+ level difference between you and the other guy and you're screwed.

Also the "changes" are only an old iteration of what they're trying to give him a better late game, it's not available.

Snowballing and losing are wildly different things.
Snowballing is about how a minor lead early equates to a massive lead the longer the game goes. This is especially true in many areas of the game, typically true with tops where one gets slightly ahead and then zones the other and tremendously widens the gap, but is also true with assassins and hypercarries.
A small lead shouldn't win you a lane or the game, but it should make the other team have to do something to even it out. Right now a small lead is a huge lead in too many scenarios.

I do not like what they are doing to him. He is perfectly fine the way he is. The only thing I would want would be for Q and W augments to be a little better to match E augment for different needs.

i'd argue taunting as aerodactyl vs typical 'suicide' azelf leads is the correct option more often than not. even if you psychic him for 60% he gets to SR on the next turn and you won't, barring a choice scarf on azelf, which would be immediately visible anyway. there are definitely teams that would trade 1 pokemon down for a SR up
