If you have superior mechanics you should still win. Now, instead of having say one gank put you far enough behind that it's a difficult task to come back, you don't fall as far as behind so your superior skills should show themselves and let you come back faster. If you are more talented and you get the early lead, you should still be able to punish your opponent, even if they are slightly less behind than they are currently. | ||

edit: IMO if they want to reduce the 'snowball effect' (which I actually think is a much smaller problem than ppl are making it out to be tbh) then they should introduce methods for the snowballee to come back into the game, not handicap the snowballer. | ||

There has to be some snowball factor in the game or else early leads wouldn't mean anything, they just want it to be less than it is currently. What's the difference in gold gain anyway? Lanes snowballing is a real thing. Sadly people bitch and complain about it because it somehow justifies them being bad. I've snowballed all three lanes because I outplayed my opponent. I've been snowballed in all three lanes too. Lanes don't just magically get out of your control. You're either worse than your opponent or you fucked up and now you have to pay for it. Trying to make top lane less snowball-y might be a good idea but changing every lanes balance isn't. | ||

I don't really understand them. The whole game is built around the idea of "snowball". I think the only way to really get rid of "snowballing" is to have powercurves but they attempted to remove that too so they just kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place.
