I don't even think Skarner needed a nerf to be honest. They're changing around the jungle in a month or two. He could end up being complete shit in the new jungle due to his mana costs.
Ez should've either had his W re-worked or else been buffed somewhere else if they're going to hit him that hard while also nerfing a core item he has. @justiceknight, Ez will still be a relatively safe lane cause of Q farming and his E escape but I think he loses 1v1s against almost every other AD carry now. He is back to, "why play Ezreal when you could play Corki?"
Trist's E change is fine, it makes a lot of sense. I don't like them making her W better as it was already really good even if it had bugs attached to it, the range is huge and it refreshes on kills/assists. She doesn't even have mana issues, why give her a lower mana cost on ult? So that it's more in line with other ADs? E change alone increases her lane strength, it gives her reliable lane harass without drawing creep aggro. I'm seriously considering maxing E after the patch hits for a few games to see how it goes.
Actually CD on E is pretty high. I don't play AP Trist so I never noticed that it was a 16 second flat CD. Probably not worth maxing.

Is the skarner nerf really that big of a deal? I am surprised, with all the CDR he gets built into his kit I didn't think it would be that big.
The change to his ult is less a nerf and more a bug fix to me, I know I have personally several times flashed away from a Skarner, seen my model move, had flash go on cooldown, only to teleport back to Skarner and be stinged.

Does it mean that if someone is running really fast (olaf + ghost with no ult), they would just run out of cast range without flash and it would break the ult?
