Otherwise, just strong duelists like Jax, Lee, Olaf, Irelia? Kennen and Ez win 1v1 tourneys.

Also the lane is important, melee tends to be better top.

But if its like the solomid tourney 1v1 I used mostly ranged ADs to get top 4 in it, some of the best ones are champs like MF/corki who can wave clear quickly and harass well.

Only mid No teleport/revive First tower/First blood wins If that's the case I'd say something like Kennen or Yorick would be really good (or basically any AP or AD carry that dominate early).

On another topic, with the damage junglers falling out of favor, who'd you run if you had, say, Malphite top? Good burst, utility, cc, but damage falls off lategame. Shyvana and Mundo could easily taker over Malph's farm once he's got his major items, Nocturne has the same drawback of falling off later, notably in damage. Nautilus, Maokai and similar are out of the question since they're basically the same archetype as Malph. Hecarim, Skarner maybe? Also Aphromoo's stream real laggy for me. I wonder what it is, people don't seem to have problem with it and my bandwith is pretty good too, though I get laggs even on 480p streams. And on normal days I can watch 1080+p np.

If you red pot + exhaust + ignite for a win right at level 1, it ends right there. Sure it works, but it's also anticlimactic to see it happen. 3 kills/2 towers means you have to be able to keep going to a 2nd and 3rd kill, which gives possibilities for a comeback if someone went all-in for the first kill.

Surely building tank items makes it less likely you'll die? Or if you do die it'll be a mistake from the enemy? He used his tank items to engage with ult and bought wits end later. You think if he went 2x phantom dancer he'd get penta kills?
