I am currently running
8 Attack Speed reds
1 AD red
9 Armor
9 Mr/level
2 AD quints
1 AS quint

What runes will let me clear the fastest?

no, both of those are wrong

we've done the math time and time again

the BEST POSSIBLE runepage for shyvana is AD/AD/defense/defense
so either AD/AD/armor/mr
or AD/AD/armor/armor
BEST POSSIBLE

e1: actually, i didn't fully read the question. for strictly clearing, AS might be better. but for actual gameplay including ganks, counterjungling, playing with teammates, expecting a leash etc etc, AD is hands down better in every situation

yeah thats something I've been wondering myself. wouldn't it be universally better to get attack speed runes instead of flat ad or armor pen runes?

If I got flat ad I get 15 ad which is a long sword and a half which is 600gold. while 40% as in game is a recuve bow and is worth 1050g.

AS is not universally better because if two people trade 1 auto or 1 AD scaling skill then the person with more AD wins the trad. AS runes also don't necessarily mean you'll be doing more DPS as gold value =/= DPS value especially on different champions who might have flat damage boosts (e.g kog) or AS boosts (graves/ez)

AS is only MAYBE better on shyvana because all her skills scale with it in some way. Reset Q cooldown, uptime W faster ult more E proc damage etc.

but AD is the best stat you can rune for on shyv

Lets talk about rammus. Im sad hes not to viable, I just played him in a TL Inhouse. Had loads of fun. Standard 2 Gp 10s Aegis Tank, Anyone got any builds or situations when he can be viable

Why aren't there more cool skills that scale on interesting stats, like a skill that scales on AS or Crit chance or spellvamp or CDR or MP/HP5?

makes itemization so much more interesting.
In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

It's probably a balance issue. Tryndamere gets a bit of crit chance for free. 35%. Other than ashe I think he's the only one to get crit chance for free and people always whine about him three shotting them.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

... I don't think you need to be adding any extra benefits to CDR. It's already one of the best things to get.

On another note, Khazix is fucking good, the jump is obscene. I just love him, you can pick fights with anyone and if it doesn't work out you just jump away perfectly safe. I can try a bunch of crazy brave shit I would never normally do without any real risk.

A lot of things scale very well with AS/crit chance/CDR already.

Spellvamp scaling is kinda toxic because if you do more damage because of spellvamp, then you spellvamp more...etc.

Dunno how you'd go about implementing something that scales off MP5/HP5 though.

There are already mechanics on champions that encourage building some of these stats, such as AS, crit and CDR. Of course, a spell that directly scaled on CDR would be a terrible idea, and crit and lifesteal/spellvamp are dominant enough that there's no need to encourage them further. I would be interested to see how a hp/5 scaling ability might work out though. Seems like a fairly unique idea.

On a CDR-scaling spell, the other thing about it is that because CDR is capped, it's inherently uninteresting. You get CDR cap, and then the spell's scaling effectively ends. The "scaling" component of that doesn't create gameplay.
