Nasus is absolutely terrifying lategame assuming:
a) You don't get kited once you pop your ult and go MANMODE
b) You farm up a shit ton of cs on Q

He actually does really well against her in lane as well, in that he can farm nicely without worrying about being harassed out of lane.

Yes nasus does get kited. Badly

I see your Nasus and raise you one Poppy.

Poppy has one of the hands down most terrifying lategames (and she stomps all over Nasus in lane). Her 40% dmg steroid + her innate tankiness + the ability to dive harder than any bruiser makes her near unstoppable when she gets to 4-5 full items.
Also, Poppy is less prone to being kited than Nasus (popping ult on Nasus is the signal to start kiting HARD). Her only problem is getting to late game vs abusive laners (excluding Riven and Panth).

Jax is another stong lategame character, with plenty of tankiness in his ult, and also hard to kite.
Kayle can be really strong lategame if built for damage.

Who would you guys consider a good primary damage dealer mid? Like, I consider TF less of a damage dealer and more of a ganker/global presence, and Viktor is more of a zone control/poker. But I want to play a mid that's just "I deal damage, and lots of it", and preferrably be "viable".

+1 for poppy, I had that one game where I was 12-4-14 or so ezreal but unfortunately on the other side of the map there was poppy who went 6:0 somehow and that guy doesnt give a shit and chases me till the end of hell. I guess because it was soloQ my mates werent smart enough to focus him first to force his ult so I could attack him after it was off but yeah 6 item poppy most terrifying thing late game, even worse than vayne, kog or trist l0l

Kat, Ryze, Fizz.

I guess.

Lots of mids do damage for no utility though.

Force a Poppy ult? You can only do that if you catch her out of position, which probably isn't something you should count on.

Annie might fit your wants, Basically charge stun > Deal tons of damage. Ganks are meh, Zone control/poke is meh, but does a huge amount of damage.

Karthus's sole job is to go in and die so he can do fuck tons of damage. He has quite a few bad matchups, but most of them you can survive if you take exhaust and farm with your 1000 range farming tool

Malz is hella fun and all damage, I play him every free week but haven't gotten around to buying him. He has his drawbacks, though.

On the other hand, there's nothing quite as funny as watching someone dive you under turret, then ulting them + pool and laughing at their bad decision making. Also DoT farming is easy as fuck.

I don't know what kind of TF you're playing where he doesn't deal enough damage. By Dcap/Lichbane you definitely have more dps than most other common AP mids. Sure your burst isn't as impressive but once you pick up DFG you have burst to rival other AP mids while still having insane dps. Late game TF is one of the highest dps APs in the game yo.

Vlad and Cass do nothing but deal damage. Karthus was a good recommendation too.

I don't know if I like TF's style of damage, though. It's more "poke and chip away" rather than burst, and I feel like him having sustained damage isn't super useful considering how squishy he is and low mobility. In the other examples, Vlad is tanky enough to stick around and do sustained damage, and Karth wants to die anyway. If I'm playing TF, it's not likely that I can just sit in a teamfight and consistently Q and PaC targets without getting dove or just focused for a second and killed.

I think fiddle has AoE damage at least as good as karthus, but people rarely play him mid.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

If you like burst, LeBlanc has one the highest bursts in the game, no?

Well, you don't sit in a team fight as TF. You sit outside of it. Was just clarifying that he does a shit ton of damage already so I didn't really understand what you were asking for.

If you're looking for an AP that gets into the middle of fights and goes balls deep every time you should probably pick up Vlad, Kennen, or Karthus.
