I don't know, I actually think he is very much on top of LoL mechanics, as shown from some of his forum posts.

Wait what happened in orb v. TSM post Fiddle?

Vayne can tumble out of cataclysm unless it has been changed.
Also I used to do sunfire shaco, and I still maintain it was OP as shit; sunfire passive is now unique, and sunfire passive no longer works on shaco clones.

I raged at someone for going mid as Kat because she is not ranged. I use to run teleport on Jungle Shen. Lane Udyr is shit...about half a year later, I was proven wrong. Oh yeah, I use to think the support role was just a filler role and cannot contribute anything to the team, now I main support. Oh and another one, I thought that Morde was suppose to build pure tank.
Nooby things people told me. Doran Blade is shit. Build a long sword so you can build it into something. Never get IE on Ashe, build a Trinity Force instead since you get a slow. Don't pick support.
And quick question, AD Carries up a free flash seem to be flavor of the month. What about Trist? When I started, this one game I was playing against a jax. I didn't know what the champ's name was and this was preremake so his stuns and attack speed as well as all his burst had the potential to be much stronger. I had no idea how to counter this guy. I probably couldn't know at the time. He was a smurf, and I kept telling my team that we should just "focus hammer guy" because I wanted to kill him at least once.
Also in game, in my climb to level 30 there was a period where sometimes your team had a jungler and sometimes you didn't. I'd always try to pick a champ that could take a 1v2 lane. I didn't feel most melee champs could do it well. I loved getting teleport for this reason, and now I still love tele.
I used to get fortify a lot, just because every other game I could get ~2 kills with it during the laning phase that otherwise wouldn't happen. The baits too strong.

lol scarra getting two dcaps on Orianna on his stream right now, and Aeliel's Karma (on the other team) is like 13-2.

Manamune Ashe, that's all I'm saying.

Pretty old, so it might be fixed now, but.. + Show Spoiler + I'm pretty sure you can still tumble out of j4 ult. Thanks to Riot Game Engine, it's impossible for Riot Designer to actually create temp walls, so aniv wall and j4 ult are internally resolved as a stack of minion hitboxes. And j4's is thin enough to tumble through.

I used to think Akali was the most OP champion ever. That was 8 months ago.

Can't they just make the thickness greater? Seems like an easy (well ok, not easy. but not too challenging of a feat - it's not like it's a whole new feature) fix. Doesn't even have to be a visual change, could just be an internal thing.

Whoever this Jayce is on the regionals, he really, really fucking loves health.

The only reason i can think of mybe is they don't want vayne against blitz + ez? But tbh that shouldn't be such a huge problem with taric being pretty good at defusing anything going on down there. In general they would be fine as long as they never fight blitz+ez.

As far as my rookie mistakes go... I followed this guide: http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/ashes-to-ashes-67331 and it used to be a lot worse.

The Blitzcrank pulls from Singapore Sentinals have been godly good so far. I think he's landed almost all the ones shown on screen.

Back when people actually did run cdr/lvl blues the kindlegem/items it turns into didn't exist. Most cdr items gave 15% cdr, including randuins. Supports would often rush soul shroud. With runes, masteries, and soul shroud alone you could have like 20% cdr. Add in a randuins, ghostblade, dfg, or SV and you're reallyyyy close to the CDR cap on basically any champion.

...yes they did. The only thing "new" is remade starks.

I really don't think the kindlegem items existed craton O_o. Unless people ran those garbage blues for much longer than I remember.

They were certainly doing it when I started and for sometime after and I certainly remember there being Kindlegem items around.
