Everyone just forgot about sustain laners because of out trade laners and laners who are hard to gank like irelia and jayce, and darius tho he's easy to gank. Rumble vlad and yorick are still the strong harass laners but they all get fucked hard if they die once or twice early. Ironically, I've had some success with "sustain" Irelia (max W) vs Yorick, before they cut the passive hp per hit in half. Irelia was ALWAYS maxing W first if you knew what you were doing. And yeah, you could sustain well with old irelia, but she's nerfed now. Rumble vlad and yorick are still the strong harass laners but they all get fucked hard if they die once or twice early. nasus is squishier than most people think early Everyones squishy early. Nasus has one of the better sustains though and rapes once he gets like level 11 in lane. How good a champ late has a lot to do with how well they do early. Yorick relies heavily on pushing around his opponent in lane and getting farm advantage and getting some kills in teamfights to get really tanky so he gets a good time to use his ult on the AD in a teamfight. You shouldn't pick champs with a theoretical "strong lategame" if you're going to be getting tower dived in lane you're going to be weaker lategame. And most games are over before lategame even hits. If you don't like udyr and ww and nasus just play something else with sustain like renekton, or irelia works but you have to play well and pick your fights. really? you've had success with ww? I've tried to run ww 3 times now against yorick, and while i won all 3, they were not even remotely convincing as 1 yorick was terribad, so i couldn't tell, and the other 2 i was getting substantial jungle ganks and barely staying even with him.
I haven't played much warwick but when he was popular people in ranked picked him vs yorick a lot.

Dyrus playing Beat it then Mad World. I know who I'm going to watch until TSM play their match.

Ryze can build Mercs and stack negatrons and still do a million damage. if you beat swain with Fizz you performed one of the hardest outplays in your life. it's not just his snare, it's his cost effective mana usage combined with his passive and his tankyness, FIzz combos are way to expencive to deal with a guy who can just e>q you over and over for free if he last hits correctly. Galio isn't unwinnable, he has to push to harass you(abuse your passive) and you can dodge his q pretty easily with q or just moving with good reactions. so basically you can freefarm vs. him, I've actually FB'd a galio before but I just think he was bad, but if he's pushed you can kill him with a gank, but you will probly have to rely on ganking side lanes if you want kills. Mainly it's a bad matchup because freefarm galio > freefarm Fizz in teamfights, and Galio can push hard enough to not put himself in danger after 1 minor purchase making it hard for you to gank without losing tower/exp but it's not a bad matchup in that he can push you out of lane from level 2 onward without pushing the lane, which Ryze and Swain both can do. Swain is not that hard a MU for Fizz in my experience, with some practice, if you pay close attention to the animation you can pole his slow projectile E, which pretty much ruins his damage output and allows you to trade. Plus with a bit of jungle help you can gank swain really easily as his snare and slow are wont prevent you from closing on him and the heal debuff.
you can dodge his e on animation, and it's a win for swain if you do, the % of mana pool used isn't even close in this trade, and he'll just get it back with his passive instantly anyway. if you want to destroy a Fizz on swain you max E, because the key to the matchup (same as with Ryze) is you can harass Fizz with point-and-click no wave pushing spells, w isn't even a factor unless you already have burned the poll and can kill. If you play FIzz a lot, which you imply then you know you have to be selective on spell use before first buy/blue, E takes a significant portion of your mana pool.
Also the guy who said clever ganks will work, I mean anything is possible, but the entire reason the matchup is bad is Swain can zone without pushing the lane at all, Fizz is melee, it's not like he has to extend out beyond the wave to harass him. just E>Q>autox2 then go back to last hitting, if he troll polls all you've spent is the e mana, and he's spent his poll (which is his most expensive spell) I mean if the Swain can't last hit it's probly an even matchup but if hes good enough to abuse the passive (which isn't asking much) it's unwinnable.
tl;dr the point is being missed, playing Fizz into swain is like playing a manaless champ with 0 skill shot nukes, it's a complete lightup if they know what they are doing.

so i was zyra vs. malzahar
i went 2 doran's rings - qss - sorc shoes - rab's
i felt super wimpy until rab's. when do you build qss?

TRM was known for teemo first. It wa what he played to get high elo. Then once he was there he pioneered top lane udyr. Then picked up yorick so he had more than 2 champs to play on TSM.

Also, I thought TRM was known for his Irelia??? + Show Spoiler +never said it was known for being good.

Well TRM used to play irelia before she got nerfed, like every other competitive top laner i guess. Better know how to abuse the op champs

The tournament which TSM lost before he left the team, they constantly either forced him to play Irelia or he wanted it,either way he was getting tower dove every game over and over lol.People were blaming him for TSM's failure.Anyway,TRM does not have a fond history with Irelia. Ah yea now I remember that was against M5,when they played shyvana top and were constantly pushing rainman into his turret and than just taking TSM's red over and over. That was the time when oddone served no purpose in jungle apart from being regis ward bitch.

I didnt say he played her well or he liked playing her, just that he had to play her at some point like many others ^^

What do you guys do with team mates that don't listen? I was playing Malphite and before a fight I needed like 80 gold to finish up GA so I went to wraiths and asked my team to fall back to our mid tower so I can quickly go and buy GA. I explained thoroughly what I'm doing and that they just have to fall back for 30 seconds but instead all 4 of them went to enemy red and got caught and 3 of them died. Luckily we were so ahead that this didn't matter and we won the game but I've faced similar problems a lot and it has caused many lost games because of impatience.

Try your best to convince them that your calls are good, and if they end up screwing up alone dont get baited by them. (during laning phase at least) Thing is even if they are heading to a bad play or contest objectives, try to stick with the rest of your team even if you know its a bad idea, you're always stronger at 5 bad calls or not. Well that's what i'm doing, you cant have rationnal people every game, but if you're an ok guy and dont flame your team during the game chances are that they will listen to what you're saying. (mass v-ping works too i guess, but it hurts my ears)
|
Just don't go back? If there's a good chance that they will get caught fighting without GA is far far far worse than losing the game beacause you weren't there If you must do something liek that make sure to spam ping b and say you're buying GA because some people might not read chat.

In solo queue Rainman spammed Teemo and Singed to get to rank #1. He only played Singed when Teemo would get banned. When he first joined TSM he played a fuck ton of Cho'Gath with them at online tournaments. Then he just played all the boring OP top laners like Udyr, WW, Irelia, and Yorick. He tried to learn Cassiopeia and Akali so he could run them top and/or lane swap with Regi but he was horribad at both champs.

Just tell them what to do. If they don't listen no biggie, maybe you'll get teammates that aren't idiots the next game. If you're getting impatient because of things your teammates do wrong that's on you. You can't control what other people do in the game you can only control how you react to it.
Basically, don't stress yourself out. It's just a game and getting mad about shit will just make you play worse.

Why aren't you using pots. Base health regen is a very small factor in staying in lane. Answer to the ww problem is to either ward one side and hug it or ward both.

Holy shit no wonder he was so bad. I just assumed he got elo welfare or bought his account lol.

The picks this game are epic. And no 3rd ban lol.
