Everyones squishy early. Nasus has one of the better sustains though and rapes once he gets like level 11 in lane.
How good a champ late has a lot to do with how well they do early. Yorick relies heavily on pushing around his opponent in lane and getting farm advantage and getting some kills in teamfights to get really tanky so he gets a good time to use his ult on the AD in a teamfight. You shouldn't pick champs with a theoretical "strong lategame" if you're going to be getting tower dived in lane you're going to be weaker lategame. And most games are over before lategame even hits.
If you don't like udyr and ww and nasus just play something else with sustain like renekton, or irelia works but you have to play well and pick your fights.

Haha, I can attest to DotA 2 being like this from playing on a friend's account. Does DotA2 have an elo system yet? Is the player pool large enough so you get matched against even players?

I dunno, I think someone said it did. I know when i'd 5man with my friends we'd go from games that looked like the enemy team had just started playing, to other games where we'd get raped so utterly hard it was retarded.

DotA2 doesn't have elo, but they do have skill brackets (normal/high/very high skill). The player pool is pretty large + the matchmaking is decent, but my only gripes with it are the no visible MMR as well as the arranged vs solo queue aspect of it (you can queue as 5 vs people who are solo queueing).

The only tournament TRM ever played really well at was the MLG that TSM won where TRM just played Yorick every single game lol.

I think no visible MMR does certain good things for the game. You see less people griping about/showing off their e-penises.
Team queues are planned (theres an option for it on the queue menu, but it's blanked out), just not in the game yet.

Maybe if you've been following the scene for like half a year. TRM's signature champ was teemo, he basically changed the way the entire community thinks of teemo (from "champ for girls" to "omg annoying top lane fortress and death to all bruisers")

He plays mid Yorick because it's unstoppable. He is more known for his Teemo though, that's for sure.
What I hate about Yorick is it makes it impossible to land skillshots when he's sitting on top of you with 3 ghouls. Especially when playing Lee Sin.

really? you've had success with ww? I've tried to run ww 3 times now against yorick, and while i won all 3, they were not even remotely convincing as 1 yorick was terribad, so i couldn't tell, and the other 2 i was getting substantial jungle ganks and barely staying even with him.

Have you been laning against good Yorick's as Riven? Because I seemed to absolutely smash 1600-1800 Yorick's as Riven, but when I got 2k (and met a Yorick main) my opponents seemed to WANT me to trade with them at lvl 3. Since that even if they were lower hp than me after the trade they could just play real defensively and then suddenly they were full hp while I was still half hp because Riven has no sustain.
