Also watching m5 i seen that genja maxed e first, what is the thinking behind this? Is it because of runes that people run to shred that off so your attacks/skills do more damage?
E is better for fighting. Q is better for harass. If you plan on getting into a lot of skirmishes, contesting dragons/buffs, or just going super aggressive and trying to kill your opposing botlane E is definitely better. If you're just gonna play standard and farm up then maxing Q is better.
As someone else said, Sheen has sort of fallen off as first item on Corki. Phage is incredibly good because of the extra health and the slow proc. If you random auto your opponent and get a Phage proc it'll result in a lot more damage as you drop spells and additional autos on them and they can't trade with you because you have 400 more health than they do.
Really cookie cutter build is like boots+3pot -> 1 Dblade+zerkers -> Phage -> Sheen -> Trinity Force -> BT or IE -> LW -> whichever BF sword item you didn't get before -> Defensive item (QSS/BV/GA). You can skip the dblade altogether if you want. Sometimes I'll just buy Phage outright on my first back and get zerkers on second back. You can feel free to pick up early vamp scepter if you need it.

How in the hell do you get +400 hp from a Phage?
It's 225 then minus 80 for the Doran's you probably skipped. Moreover, you deal less damage than your opponent which offsets the extra HP you have. You potentially have a small window between getting your phage and them getting a BF where you are stronger from items.

Genja goes things like Trinity -> Mercs -> GA on Corki. He doesn't play Corki as a traditional AD Carry. He plays Corki as a mobile ranged bruiser. This complements his E > Q and LW rush build as well because it synergises with the actual bruiser that Darien is likely playing. And Alex Ich will play the hard carry AP like Ryze or Karthus. It's pretty specific to Moscow Five's lineup and I dunno if it's something that would necessarily work in solo queue.

One of the major selling points (for me) on TF is that you get fewer Dblades, which are a dead item eventually.

Honestly I had a huge idiot moment and was convinced that Ruby Crystal gave you 475 HP and cost 225 gold.

That would be a nice item to have. Where could I purchase one in the game store?
I also thought you mainly build triforce if you're ahead for the stronger midgame power you can abuse. But otherwise, IE first works better?

So with the new Garen, I've heard some builds including various items, but was wondering on one a friend mentioned.
Basically, its something like boots+3, get a bruta, and eventually build a crit stick then finishing up Ghostblade, get a warmogs, and then grab atmas.
I think he also added in double bruta in some cases. 6th item depends on how the game is going. Seems interesting, but I've always been skeptical about crit sticks on most top laners.

i think corki is fluid enough that you can build either
sometimes i follow soloside's build and go 2 d-blade -> phage -> thirster when it's an equal game when i'm a bit ahead i go 1 d-blade -> bf sword -> IE because when you're ahead, crits destroy kids and when i'm a bit behind i go 2 d-blade -> phage -> finish triforce -> bf items because TF can give you the freedom to move around a bit in teamfights and not die very much thx to the mobility and hp.
corki's just so much fun. i wish i was better at him
good to know that genja maxes E though. i've been telling my teammates that i wanted to max E and they all laugh at me now i have pro support

then stack phantom dancers and get a tri force

But I have to build 5 zeals first before upgrading any into PDs, right?

6. Boots are for noobs, phantomdancer lets you run faster too, and has way better stats.

I used to be fine using twitch with cloth+5 before I got a madred's razor but this bot game I went 13 pots just because I didn't know how much he'd changed. I was down like 9 health pots before I would have had the gold to get a razor in a normal game. I'm done with twitch. Twitch's invis is just completely useless now unless I'm missing something major. You get the same attack speed boost they just killed the perma stealth that was stupid to play against in the first place, and has been since long before they started nerfing twitch. The bigass attackspeed steroid has always been the invis selling point imo The amount of attack speed is the same, but if you'll recall, his attack speed bonus would last a minimum of 2* the number of seconds he stayed stealthed. This capped at 10 seconds. Now he gains the attack speed for 5 seconds all the time.
I think his passive is also weaker, and now his expunge deals physical damage, but perhaps he gets this damage back since it no longer removes stacks.

What's the point of building MS items on a bushwhacker.

Magic damage expunge is better imo, it would make his early game stronger.
