Yep. Eventually the lane kind of sits in a standstill without jungler interference.. Jayce can use ranged poke, but Irelia can ignore them because Irelia has sustain. Whoever initiates loses.

Eh.. if irelia just stays even in the lane until 6 or 7 she will destroy him. At 9 it's not even close. You let him hit you with E->Q once so you're lower hp than him, then you Q to a low minion, EWauto auto auto and then Q to him after he knocks you away. I've played the lane 3 or 4 times and I've killed him or zoned him in every case. Irelia is just really good.

edit: Oh and sometimes the minions won't be low, but you can just ult to take care of that and then use the rest of your ult as you're combo'ing him.

I have a really hard time playing against blitz support and I personally think he is most OP support today. One hook means instant death for carry, so you have to always think about your positionning and he tank way too much at early level and escape too easily with his sprint.
It's not like an ali or a taric that you can punish when they overextend without their carry, attacking blitz always mean losing the fight even if the carry is afk hitting minions for the first 20 seconds. I usually just ban him when I can.

Do I play bad or do you all have the same experience ?

just pick taric and body block for your ad.

it's not like a free win, if they do manage to get a lead, blitz will just w and run at you and thats when things get silly, but in an even lane, a tanky support like Nunu, Taric, Ali, and Leona can survive it. Eat the hook, use your cc on the carry and walk away.

yea it's pretty hilarious when you're playing taric/graves and the blitz on the other team has no idea how to lane against a taric.

just let yourself get grabbed. Taric essentially acts as a poor man's Ali in lane when paired with an AD with strong burst/dueling potential.

In other news, I'm not convinced the upcoming Graves/Corki/Ezreal nerfs are going to break up their dominance of the AD carry role. The power of repositioning is so compelling that 98% of champions run Flash all the time, and is a big part of why these champions are so popular. Combined with very strong early/mid games and respectable late games, I don't see these three going away or becoming unpopular. At best, we might see more of Tristana.

However, I think it's possible to break down this issue through team compositions. Running a composition that combines powerful shields/heals with defensive steroids/auras is extremely potent without necessarily having to go full blown "Protect the AD". You have lots of options in both areas, and even a few that overlap.

Heals/Shields: Lulu, Morgana, Lee Sin, Janna, Shen, Lux, Karma
Auras/Steroids: Galio, Jarvan, Maokai
Both: Orianna, Taric, Soraka, Sona

There's even Aegis, Locket, and Heal to throw on top of everything.

You don't need an entire team of these champions, just a strong shield/heal or two combined with a strong defensive steroid. Combining Lulu and Galio, for example, is more than sufficient as they can add 4000 effective health to a carry between the two of them. Then again, if the enemy lets you do something crazy like Lee Top + Maokai Jungle + Galio Mid + Lulu Support there's little wrong with that team comp.

The key problem is that you can't really organize this sort of thing in solo queue. You can maybe factor it in when considering where you fit in your team's composition, but that's about it.

I'm a bit sad, I originally picked up Ez as my AD because he was so under-played, but now he's fucking everywhere :\

That's why I play Cait to be different (and she's fun, imo), but then Cait late game.

Fine is a very subjective term. Fine compared to what? Kog or Vayne late game? Not really. Teemo late game? Well, yeah.

Cait always struck me as "in an odd place" because she brings a little to moderate amount of everything, but not a lot of anything. She doesn't have Ashe utility, but traps give some really nice utility. No Sivir sprint or Ez blink, but Net is a decent escape. Not Vayne damage or Kog/Trist range/damage, but safe range and an ok (but not overwhelming) steroid.

Oh well, I play her despite all that, I don't think she's trash or anything like that.

I agree that Leona is amazing and is better when compared to Taric, but in my experience (I play ALOT of Leona) Taric is the best counter TO Leona.

I agree that I don't think these nerfs will change anything. I think Riot should consider buffing some of the other AD carries to accommodate for their lack of escapes rather than further nerfing Ez/Corki/Graves. Because the only way to end those three champions dominance would be to change their kits around or to nerf them so hard that their damage isn't worth the fact that they have good escapes.
