Malphite. - When you have abyssal + it, it does a surprising amount of damage in teamfight, as well as being put to good use since as malphite you want to be in the middle on every1. Plus it helps you push alot faster. | ||

Tanks don't have much damage. Sunfire = damage. I may be wrong, but my understanding of a tank is that he tries to initiate, blows off most of his spells in an attempt to put his team at an advantage, then more or less derps around while on cooldown. There's nuanced things like peeling, saving CC for a certain enemy *coughkatcough*, but tanks have fairly little in the way of sustained damage past a burst of spells, as having say Nautilus slowly whack you for ~100 damage at lvl 18 is pretty pathetic. It makes you that much more a threat and can force a team out of position. The DPS on most tanks is pretty low, and sunfire adds a nice 40 dps aura (400 range), which means you're doing up to 200 dps if you're catching the entire enemy team (unlikely but possible) not taking resistances into account. Compare it to say, Amumu's Despair which does up to 2.7%hp/sec with a 300 range aura. Given a 2k hp squishy at lvl 18, that's around 50 dps. Mundo's Agony also does 95 dps, but it costs health and ergo his tanking ability. Wait, did I convince myself sunfire was good? I only built it on Amumu, and the last time I built it on somewhen was when I was trying to play AD cho. | ||

Thats what I figured. It seems like just getting a Warden's mail with the CV is a better use of the gold. Although the aura looks freaking sweet. If you're buying Sunfire, the only way in which it stands out from normal damage items is that it gives AoE creep killing power to champions that otherwise have none. The only time I can see it being good are on heroes that want the stats, and need pushing power when they otherwise lack AoE creep clear. Of course, everyone and their mom has AoE creep clear in this game, so virtually the only hero that fits that is Shen. | ||

I really like it so far, especially on Mundo since I have a reason to get an early vamp and thus not rely on HP pots as much while clearing. When ganking top and bot, the +20% AS aura makes up for the fact that Wit's gives you more AS innately, and on both of them itemizing for HP beats out itemizing for resists. In terms of raw damage in a gank, the CDR has always let me get off another round of spells/cleaver which more than makes up for the 42 magic onhit, in addition to helping your laner attack/lifesteal. But maybe there's a really good reason I only see Wit's at high elo that I'm missing out on in low elo ranked/normals. | ||

I love Zekes as an item in general, Dan Dinh seems to like it out of the jungle as an early item also(asked him stream before a while back) the cdr and team aura is really good | ||
