+ Show Spoiler + man this discussion reminds me of all those sc2 kiddies who were considering going pro. i often wonder how old some of these people are, or how much they know about the world... even if i was a pro player making a decent salary with some decent tourney winnings on the side, i would still hedge my bets and do college. like, maybe esports will become huge and we'll see aphromoo pull a 5 year 100 mill contract like drew brees did, but i doubt it. plus in esports you're a champ one day, a has-been the next. | ||

if my kid had the option between playing a game that they love to make money or going to college, i'd tell them to do what they love 100% of the time people always say like "gaming dies out but your education will last forever" and it baffles me... college has got to be the biggest scam in history. i know more waiters with college degrees than without. obviously this is a discussion for a different topic, but i'd rather see someone make a living doing something they enjoy than get put into debt that will follow them for life for a pointless degree | ||

the only thing laughable about kids wanting to go pro is that it always comes from unskilled players. if you're playing 3-4 hours everyday and you can't beat people who only put in a couple hours on the weekend, guess what, increasing the time you're playing won't help at all. | ||

There are a few other non-mod icons but they aren't staff so I don't really know where to find them. | ||

Note that most of these jobs are also contested by non-"pros" and the first two (the ones that don't require any skills or education) generally pay poorly and/or are infrequent. There just isn't much out there to transition into. | ||

I recall hearing that W>Q if you want to kill, Q>W if you want to farm. Is that still true after all the changes or is Q>W superior in pretty much every circumstance? The cdr on W makes for higher damage but it doesn't seem to matter too much in an all-in until level 7 onwards. | ||
