On the plus side, most of the Zyras I've seen have been on my side, so that's good.

Anyone else have it? I'm like, mid 1300s after dropping a couple games a month ago and still haven't had the balls to play in fear of dropping back to the depths of unranked play. What do you guys do to overcome it(especially those who are higher rated)? Edit: I have a friend who's decent, but for some reason he's terrified of playing ranked. I don't like to ditch my friends to play solo loner status, but I would like to somehow convince him to duo again.

I'm also finding it interesting how Dominate gets Aegis every game on Skarner, and he doesn't seem to like Wit's and Frozen Heart too much.

Ive never fallen below 1400 so i knew when i was at that elo i was a solid amount better than those players so i focused on improving the holes that allowed 1400 and under players to grab kills on me while securing my team the victory. For me this meant playing yi and starting 7-0 every game.

Also the resurgence of Skarner is pretty nice. He still deals pretty absurd damage and that permaslow is sick good.

What I do work well with is motivation by either pressure or friends. Either people playing with me saying do this and we can play together or pressure of wanting to preform for either a stream or people who expect you to be able to preform at a certain level. Other motivations include setting goals, revenge and a strong sense to win games. It really just takes the right kind of push for the person. *shrug*

Well, I had this for a while, but when you make the decision to get better you just have to stick with it. Think of each ranked game as the ability for you to gain experience in certain match ups, to learn about how different people do objectives / laning, and to show off when you get the chance. Thinking of them only as wins and losses is the core of the anxiety imo. And I know its hard to not think like that. I just breached 2100 and each win meant alot, but it helps alot to enter a game, see an udyr support pick, and think "well, guess i gotta try harder" or "Lol, thats funny, I wonder how he'll deal with that". Just go into each ranked game looking for self benefit and the chance to grow. If you never play ranked, you never gain experience, and you will never get better (no matter how good you think you are). Ranked allows for exposure, practice, and wisdom. And for the games that have leavers / uncarriable trolls, just say "meh", dick around, have fun till its over, then start the next one. Also between each game go exercise a bit, or grab a quick bite to eat, talk to friends, etc, watch a youtube vid. It keeps the whole experience chill.
