People constantly rage on me when I pick Viktor and it annoys me, but when someone picks AP Ezreal or Yi or something similar while I dont actually rage at them inside I do go "oh god...". In the end, certainly at my elo, any champion played well can work, but I do think a lot of people take the pro-scene's hero choices for granted a bit too much, and perhaps even the pros do. Before M5 showed the way with Shyvana she was never picked, and there's probably a few more examples of someone having to show people the potential of certain champs before people started bitching about how underpowered that champ is/was. Case in point: Malphite. I believe I heard a caster refer to Malphite as a glorified ult lategame. Then again, it was probably HatPerson and he's an idiot.

For the 1500 supporter milestone, the creator designed a Riven minifig that looks pretty awesome imo. If you have not seen/supported and would like to do so, the link is here. The project has very quickly exceeded my authority/knowledge within LEGO, so I'm sort of just waiting on my supervisor to give me a bit of direction/get me in contact with someone here. I want to do my best to stay involved in it and continue learning. Trouble is it's a busy couple of weeks here in Demand Planning, so an intern's little side project kinda falls by the wayside priority-wise ![]()

I've always meant to ask, what exactly is your internship position? Are you an engineer or graphical designer or what? I really don't know what type of degree goes into LEGO, lol.

Oh, even if the project flops, I've gotten further than I expected. And now there are Rioters who are aware of my name, which is awesome if I try to get an internship there next summer. My department (Demand Planning) is split up into two sections: Customer Planning Managers and Product Group Managers. The PGMs focus on the individual themes (Star Wars, Ninjago, etc.) while the CPMs focus more on the different accounts (Target, Walmart, etc.) Basically, it's a lot of forecasting for demand and shipment/consumer sales. Sorry for off topic

Sorry for off topic Really cool, hope everything works out for you. All of that commercial and demand stuff never clicked with me, software and coding easier ![]() On topic, Shurelya rush Skarner is basically free elo anymore. After our discussion earlier in the thread about Hec v Skarner, I started playing the bug some more in ranked. Holy butts it's hilarious how one W+Shurelya(+maybe Flash) pull will just win games outright, and no one ever expects you to be as tanky and do as much damage as you're capable of. If I ever call Skarner weak again (without him getting nerfed or whatever), just take away my account. Best non-god mode jungler (Naut/Mundo/Malph/Lee) by a long shot, imoimo.

I feel bad sometimes but you gotta do what you gotta do to win. That's one of the biggest things I've learned while spamming ranked: triage-ing lanes. If your mid is terrible, they don't get a blue. If top is 0-5, when I gank I take their farm. It's not to be a dick, sometimes it's just necessary to snowball your own advantage, even if it means cutting out the weak link. I'm not saying I do it after first blood or anything like that, but when your laner is down ~50 farm and has more than half your team's deaths, it's time to count them out. I'd not do it in an arranged game probably, but you can tell the weak links in solo queue.

Blue on mid lets you spam more and farm 'safer'. disagree. i've done exactly that for braindead carries before. all that happens is they get the farm then they throw it all away doing what they've been doing all game long - overextending and getting caught. Then suddenly all that farm you gave your supposed carry is gone. this is terrible mentality for competitive play and probably high elo, but i've found it to be true where i'm at :\

Every one of the three were constantly overextended and (I'm guessing) never looked at the mini map. Since it was all the carries, there was nothing Craton could really do to salvage it, so you just chalk it up as a loss and move on. It happens less often at higher elos, yes, but it still does happen. Taking blue from a mid can be bad for your team, but if he's going to give it away in ~15 seconds, there's no reason to keep giving it to him.

Makes a lot of sense - cheap lifesteal since you already have a vamp scepter chilling, and you don't need to save for as long (or commit as many item slots) as you would to save up for a bloodthirster, and once you have IE, 15% crit and +8% lifesteal for SO cheap (only 900 more than the vamp scepter you already bought) is pretty nice. Active wasn't even that useful that game, though he used it on vayne (who had a BT as typical of vayne) pretty often. On only 12k gold he was able to complete a "Full item" build - IE 4k, PD 2.8k, Exe 1350, GA 2.6k Sure, it's dead end, but IE Zeal+ Exe + a piece of PD (crit cloak if you're talking equal gold) is MORE crit as IE PD + extra vampscepter, but nearly double the lifesteal. It's basically trading some midgame AS for super good lifesteal and crit much earlier than you could realistically buy a BT. And when you're done with your PD, you have a disgusting 65% crit backing up your IE instead of the typical 50.
