These games are still essentially pubs though, so that doesn't mean that we want/should see Malph/TF/Shen/etc. every game just because they're in the pool. It's Liquid Practice--practice what's useful to you. Spamming games on a champ you won't reliably see get through bans in solo queue isn't good practice for you or your opponents. Play seriously when you're in game. Just because people left some strong champs in the pool doesn't mean go all out troll. It's perfectly possible to build reasonable team compositions out of a fairly average selection of champions. Honestly, the biggest problem is that Draft Mode gets people in a certain mindset when playing this game that's probably not in line with what we want. If there was a DotA style All Pick option where there's no bans/pick order, but still unique picking, I'd say that would be more appropriate for the level of games we're going for. Alternately, unaware to Galladiator, have both teams in same TS channel and ban every champion Galladiator mentions interest in. Results? ![]()

You weren't even in the game we were talking about, Zabad, and the person I was raging at in the other game was the ADC, not CheezyCookie, my platinum friend who was playing Lulu and also complaining that our vayne was retarded for walking STRAIGHT into people 1v2 and 1v5 multiple times in lane and in teamfights after completely missing them because he was "farming" and completely disregarding pings and what we said. I think you essentially need to get a feel for how the game you're in is about to go at champion select or in teamspeak. It really seems to depend on who is in the game, what time of day/night it is, and whether or not everyone is in TS. I've played mega tryhard games in LP before where both teams were in TS doing their very best, and I played an amazing and hilarious supertroll game last night with a jungle Veigar and didn't feel bad at all for feeding mid (though I didn't feed that hard). Even in the troll game though people were still trying to win, I don't think it ever degenerates in throwing intentionally or whatever. I think ultimately the onus is on the 'veteran' members of TL LoL/LP to make people who are unfamiliar with the atmosphere comfortable in the games until they get a feel for the people and the inhouse games themselves. I know I'm a lot more comfortable in these games than I used to be, but in my case it's probably from casting so much and seeing people's attitudes and friendliness in allchat during the games and after.

He got really angry at me because I misplayed. Then he started to tell me that I don't think and I am a retard and that I should be playing with bots before playing with him. TBH, if he wasn't from the channel I would have put him on ignore the second the R word came out. But I didn't and it became worse. It was truly a regrettable decision from my part. WHOA WHOA WHOA Let's hear my half: We get into blind pick. He picks rumble and gets vs swain top and immediately and for the whole game he starts bitching about how he can't win the matchup (lol). I come to gank him at level 2 and J4 is waiting in the bush and instead of coming to help fight like swain does he runs the fuck away with shield and swain gets a red because i don't get any help instead of possibly pulling off 2 kills because swain has tp instead of ignite. I don't say anything. TEN MINUTES LATER For the past 10 minutes he's been bitching constantly about how he can't win his lane and is getting zoned (he rushes WotA instead of abyssal after revolver). My friend and I are like lol what are you talking about you should have been shitting on him the whole time and he starts giving me nonstop shit about how swain had a red buff and it was impossible (estimated time: now until the rest of the game). At this point Swain has been teleporting to bottom lane to fight and he's been standing at his tower carefully last hitting or something because at no point did I ever see him hit Swain's tower. Oh also at this time our annie and support (forgot who) gank swain about 4 times in a row and rumble gets a killing spree. TEN MINUTES LATER Rumble shows up for his first teamfight. It's 20 minutes in and he has WotA, boots, and a few MR items. We start fighting and for some reason he always runs away and ends up at 1/2 hp or higher at the end of the fight. We're basically 4v5 with a badly placed rumble ult every time and they wreck us. The team starts bitching at Rumble and he says "I COULDN'T" for about 5 minutes. When he starts repeating "I COULDN'T", I begin saying shit like "I'm so sick of pussies" and "you're never going to learn if you don't think or grow some balls." FIVE MINUTES LATER Rumble still hasn't been in a legit teamfight. I jump baron and it's gone. I throw up a surrender and the team denies it. A few minutes later, after we get aced again np, we finally surrender while we bicker at each other stupidly. Judge me all you want, but get the whole story first.

I'm not talking about your case, hence the words "not completely related" at the start. It's something I keep running into because I stopped playing LoL sometime around the time BF3 came out with one or two games here and there until this past week. In other words, I went from decent to shitty but level 30. And when people are giving me advice, they seem to assume me explaining why I did something moronic is me arguing, rather than me wanting to understand why X is better than Y. Not everybody does this, but several have done that. I'm guessing some people do just argue.

Yeah but if you're raging in a fucking blind pick normal imagine how hard you'd rage if someone doesn't listen to you in a practice inhouse which do get pretty competitive.

Yeah one thing that bothers me is when people pick only one champion, and then you look and they've played like 200 games with that champion.. really? Play something new to get better at it! I play Orianna and AD's because I never play those champs normally. Sure I could just play nid or morde who i've played hundreds of games on, but that isn't helping me get better. But for example, for me, I feel that every game I feed and end up losing is because of basically the same thing: me playing stupidly overagressive for no apparent reason. This is somewhat independent from what champion I'm playing, and I really want to work on that, so I'm just massing xerath games because I'm comfortable enough with xerath that I can focus on not playing overagressive, while it feels like if I play ezreal or something I need to constantly worry about other things because I never play ezreal and I can't focus on not being overagressive. Just my thoughts.

It's one thing if someone like Smash comes in and goes Nunu Top or Amumu Jungle (because those are his mains). But if Nehsb wants to go Xerath, it personally doesn't/wouldn't bother me as much. If anything just ban Xerath if Nehsb is on the other team. huehue. Ofc, anyone in LP is within their right to ask a 1600+ player not to play something. I assume if you're 1600+, you're flexible with roles/champsions. Thus, try to be a little accommodating in IHs. tyty

I think it's fine to get pissed. Just gotta be constructive with criticism instead of just blind raging. At least tell the guy why he blows. If they can't take it, then there's no point of them playing in LP. Pretty simple to me.

There probably isn't any real way to ensure people are always trying their best just as there is no real way to ensure that they will always play someone they're not necessarily their best with. I think you essentially need to get a feel for how the game you're in is about to go at champion select or in teamspeak. I did alright against his cho in lane as Orianna until him+milo decided to tryhard roam and gank everything. I agree though. I don't mind the 1800+'s playing their best champion once in a while but the point of the inhouse is to improve. I heavily doubt they're improving their champion playing against people who're 400 ELO below them, ranked is probably the place to do that. As hard as I try, my ~1650 mid isn't anywhere particularly close to their top champions.
