Not really. Malzahar is much better. And among bruisers shyvanna seems faster than jayce to me.
No..
Both kill minions at the same speed and jayce is way better vs towers
Pretty sure Malz can kill minions a lot faster with Q+E. I haven't played Malz in a looong time but iirc blue buff Malz can maintain 2 voidlings that absolutely melt towers. No idea if that would outdamage Jayce W tho; it probably won't.
Q is only backline and E takes like 12 secs for melee, do you know how fast jayce clears
You can easily kill 4-5 minions with Q if you angle it properly by standing off to the side of the lane rather than facing the minions head-on. If you have the space, you can tank up minions into a ball and Q them all.
Jayce Q or E+Q can hit melee only or ranged only unless you're balling up the minions in both hammer or cannon mode. His hammer W can clear pretty darn well, but you need to be in the minion wave, which may not be ideal if you're trying to siege a tower.

If you compare to jayce whose pushing is basically QE melee creeps -> swap to hammer -> WQ, he can practically move forward the entire time with no slowdown. His W also as I said takes about half of a tower's hp away every 6 seconds
Clearing while sieging a tower is irrelevant because Jayce doesn't take more than ~7 seconds per tower
if you guys want to talk about pushing bruisers, mundo is mandatory reading material his W clears creeps soooo goddamn fast and his E chunks towers especially mixed with wit's or any AS item. shyvana's a good pusher but i don't think she can touch mundo. olaf jax and wukong are great pushers too, olaf is a bit more situational but with ghost/ult up you can't punish him for solo pushing
but as spinesheath said, the best pushing comp will always revolve around 4-5 supports. i like 4 supports + sivir, but 5 supports is great too. so much teamfight control early, before people get real items. you just bait that first team fight, 5-0 them, take 2 towers, go back and spend your 3k gold each, then shove mid for the win at 15 minutes. such a fun strat
so on a different topic with how strong ranged AD are atm, do you guys think triple ranged AD could be viable? i was thinking cait/kayle top, teemo/trist mid, and a normal bot. jungle would be a mandatory malphite/amumu/maokai probably. cait top is really fucking strong. teemo destroys people mid. and then you have the unholy advantage of triple ranged in teamfights. i think it could work

I guess you could get ap damage with jungle karthus but then your team is so squishy so you IMo you need a tanky jungle and support but then what stops whem from stacking armor? Maybe tanky AP jungle mumu could provide enough magic damage and peel. But anyway I think corki top, cait mid and something bottom would be a good comp because you get some magic damage from top and cait will dominiate mid if you counter pick right.
mixed damage isn't as much of an issue as most people think it is
it's a problem at a few stages in the game (when enemy bruiser opens 2 armor items and your guys don't have arpen yet, and megalate game when the enemies all have 1 damage item and 5 armor items, but even then that's not too scary), yes. but if you have triple AD and force the enemy AP and AD to open an armor item, haven't you already won? they're delaying THEIR damage that much more. also corki/trist/teemo do tons of magic damage, as you said, so they do provide a nice mix. but in the end, i think range trumps everything in lol, and if you're playing against champs without a gapcloser, it doesn't matter how much armor they build. you're gonna kite and kite and tink and dink and crit all day while they try to get close enough to do damage, and when the engage finally happens, amumu/malphite ult and just let 'em have it
Alright, this probably belongs in the QQ thread, but whatever.
Why the hell do people (generally at lower elos) think MBR is the best item in the entire game? They're like "Oh, the jungle Lee Sin bought a Giant's Belt, better rush Bloodrazor on Ashe", and if you play AD carry and don't buy one, they act like you're a fucking idiot. Same with APs and DFG, something about % health makes people flip the fuck out and not think about actual viable builds.

Oh yes, but I was told last night that I should have had it at 15 minutes before any other item (including boots 2), simply because it does % health and that makes it more viable than WotA, Deathcap, Rylai, or early game DRing stacking.

Entirely dependant on what champion you're playing. I'd say DFG rush on Veigar and Morde is 100% awesome.

Viktor.
I've yet to build it on Viktor. Been meaning to try it, but my standard opening build is generally so successful, I haven't wanted to deviate.
One of those "ain't broke, don't fix" kinda deals.
So you're back, uh? Well if you're willing to admit Viktor's broken, I won't deny you.
I'm not sure about early DFG on Viktor: sure it's awesome as part of his huge burst, but seeing his lack of instant cc, if people see you using DFG they'll run even before you ult and that's one annoying thing when they outrun your ult with 50hp because you were too busy having animations to follow them.
Never checked actually, does DFG's casting animation take a lot of frame? It always seemed to me it had frames, even if not a proper animation.
