There aren't really any sustain lanes left. Sona and soraka ARE the sustain lanes. And sona beats soraka lanes because of the poke being magic damage and sorakas heal cd being so high. For example rushing ruby crystal is more viable than philo on sona in most lanes now. That said I haven't played sona in a while so you can't take everything for granted here.

However there's a few issues with this. First, imo, Chauster >>>> ocelote. Second, old Sivir was fucking broken when it came to wave pushing, I don't think anyone can push a wave as hard and as early as old Sivir could. Third, theoretically heavy jungle pressure on mid should result in Sivir dying and Janna getting XP/gold. + Show Spoiler + match I'm talking about:

In theory I suppose the counter to malph is a tanky team either AP based or lots of bruisers so he can't slow them all, but right now bruisers are falling out of popularity because of how hard it is to engage a lot of these teams which are based around 3 people protecting the AP and AD who generally have strong poke and high damage and malph excels against that with his engage and AS slow. Blitz and naut just because hooks are gay and when people stop getting lazy and get better at dodging maybe they'll fall out again? I dunno.

A robot with one of the funniest spells in the game, and a kit/base stats that lend themselves well to be a tanky mofo who runs into teamfights and doesn't give a fuck? Spiderman, also a kit/base stats that lend themselves well to be a tanky mofo who runs into teamfights and doesn't give a fuck. Rock, entering teamfights by launching himself with such determination that only death can stop him? Shonen material here. Just make sure you have defensive runes and masteries at least to some extent. She's a beast after lane though with max cdr you just do a great amount of damage and healing and provide auras as well as an AoE ult. There aren't really any sustain lanes left. Dunno, if I want sustain I'd rather pick Alistar because he heals so much more for the same mana expenses and the cd isn't even that long if you stay near your carry when he last hits. Also, I tried to poke an Ali lane. WQ everytime I was in Q range, half my HP gone. It would probably be the same against Leona, for example.

But, imo, Ali can lane against most tops and mids pretty well.

Poking an alistar and him engaging forces a full on fight, if you can win that fight alistar can't engage therefore you can just keep poking. Also it depends on the AD carries positoning if he's not in position alistar can't do anything because he will be in range your your AD carry and you'll probably get away. It depends on an awful lot of factors, but as I said, a sona lane snowballs in either direction. One side will win, how passive you play influences how safe you are and you'll lose less creeps but it'll be a bad lane.

a carefully played soraka lane has a rough level 1-4, but then level 5 hits and there's just straight up nothing you can do to kill either of them except 5man gank plus, soraka/graves lane, lol real balanced janna is extremely close behind because she compliments just about everyone and can go offensive as well as defensive the rest are pretty far behind, probably alistar -> taric -> blitz -> sona -> leona though leona could actually be much higher depending on the lane, and blitz could be #1 depending on the skill discrepancy between blitz and his opponents

I can't tell you what I am tracking until after I know none of you made it lol. but yea main problem is I didn't know how to get an SRS. (yes this is for class) I know I'm going to look like a huge nerd but I really want to do it on something I actually give a shit about so it turns out good instead of rehashing freakenomics to the class (which is basically what I expect from everyone else)

Soraka's heal doesn't magically become untouchable @ rank 3, I have no idea what you're talking about. Soraka lanes still die to just jungle ganks more than Janna lanes because Janna lanes just lol knock u all up (and blow you all away if she's level 6). She's stronger in an untouched lane, sure, but Janna's better on both sides of ganks and past laning Janna makes Soraka look like a joke.

Uninstalling now. Been fun guys (kinda). Wish all of you luck. and my parting wisdom: Karma is good bottom lane as support against vayne, graves, corki. Support fiddle is amazing against any non taric/ali support. LoL pro players go too often for the 5th kill over an objective. LoL Pro players don't use the bush well enough to harrass in bot lane they use it too much for attempted kills to force wards to be placed in them. you guys have been overwhelmingly cool, unlike the rest of the community. ![]()

If a team is engaging with the expectation that TF is about to pop in and help, preventing him from doing so can turn the tides significantly. no Too many routes for tf to take( from base behind jungle etc) also if janna can "predict" his movements with wards tf can see with wards of his own and bait. To have near full protection she needs to ward deep (risky in and of itself) in multiple locations and even then that does not cover in lane gonks.
