End up like 200/200 resists and a solid 3k HP too, and still do 900 damage with your ult. They basically have to focus you or you kill their whole team... if they focus you you win if your AD carry doesn't suck dick. | ||

It also gives him some mana so he can use more spells in a teamfight (500 mana = 5 ults = penta  ). (you might want more depending on the team, but you should be in a decent place with that). GA should be good too since he will probably always be a threat. Blood thirster seems like the best idea for a major defensive item considering his ad scaling and his lack of sustain. Last Whisper might be a decent idea, with his e and the mastery from offense you get 1-(0.75*0.6*0.9)=0.595 -> almost 60% armor pen. Ghost blad seems feasible too. Some of the stats are a bit meh, especially the flat armor pen, but the active is really good and goes well with what Darius does. Plus brutalizer really good for midgame anyway, when you don't have many points in e and don't have a last whisper. So I guess you'll get like a brutalizer or a hexdrinker or maybe phage and then go into getting a thirster. Final build for me would look like this: Mercs/Tabi Thirster Maw Last Whisper Frozen Heart GA or Ghost Blade That's my view on it. | ||

Percent pen calculated after flat pen, you get about same Armor pen regardless. Rather wait 300 gold get a BF Sword. Same with LW, you get one free. Why build one? Gives you a slot to build another tanky item on. You can build like a Riven would but have room for one more Tanky item. | ||

1400 gold on 2 chain vests is just as much armour as 3000 gold on frozen heart. Plenty tanky for cheap, can just spend on damage after that. | ||

I was getting bruta > CDR boots > Sunfire > Banshees on Darius and doing extremely well. but i also go straight flat AD for runes and 21/9/0 masteries to keep his damage up. especially since executioner + havoc both improve his ultimate when you are planning on using it anyway. I want to find a way to work executioners culling into a darius build just for theme sake though, it's not a bad item for him anyway. | ||

I know he has always been a RoA first champion, and then after that you build depending on lane: can go SV if you have a tough lane and need to be tankier, Rylai's for more damage and tankys, or Zhonya's if against an AD in lane/fed ADs. I'm really trying to force Chalice in atm. I just don't see where it would fit, since you want Swain to get RoA asap. I just don't think its good to buy a cata+chalice, since you don't need double the sustain. Chalice+Swain passive will bring you back up to solid mana easily, allowing you to spam ult for the sustain. Looking into maybe rune'ing him differently. Any thoughts from anyone else? | ||
