The item is still better than What it used to be. Before you had no reason to pick it up ever. I don't think riot intended this change to make it a core item on any champion, just something that can be good in scenarios where a high sustain champion is becoming a huge threat. | ||

I have been getting it on top Viktor and its the fucking nail in the coffin of many traditional sustain tops, you just wreck them mercilessly. | ||

I don't think you'd ever buy Morello's on Cho too. I could see Swain getting it but only if he's against someone who can out-sustain him and/or can never get blue buff. Ugh, actually, you'd either have to skip Cata or you'd probably be getting Morello's quite a bit after lane phase was over. So I dunno if it's even all that good on Swain. Too many other essential laning items for him like Cata and then you want to build big AP stuff to increase your sustain. So you probably wouldn't buy Morello's until much later. Best case scenario you could get Morello's at like what, 15-16 minutes? By that point Morello's isn't gonna win or lose your lane for you. | ||

Same reason you put Swain or Vlad. Tanky sustained damage caster that counters a lot of popular top lane picks. | ||

You should try it, it started off as just my counterpick to nasus, but now I play it all the time, its really strong if they dont have a great gapcloser and good burst. Just spam Q all over them, cant touch you because grav bubble. The only weakness is the long lane + viktor bad escapes, so just ward up. Usually you create such a health differential that they cant even gank you though. He plays a bit like vlad top but way more damage/range and less tanky, bubble is better for most escapes than pool if its up. I might even buy morellos on Vlad vs heavy sustain, he loves the CDR and AP obv, 12mp5 wasted but the active is just so strong. | ||

Out of curiosity, what happens if Nasus comes to lane with 60 MR and boots+4? Can you still harass him out or do you push to his tower and then sadface as Nasus gets to farm more freely? She bullies most people early on, but her scaling is fairly mediocre and her harass pushes lane a lot. If you rune defensively though(armor yellows, flat mr blues and defensive quint of your choice), on most champs you can outscale her so long as you can stay fairly even on farm. Yes it sucks to get bullied around from 1-5 as a lot of champions, but it's still a survivable lane on most champs. If you can trade while her E is down though you'll win most trades fairly easily so long as you don't get trapped by Q and then attacked by E while retreating. That's my experience anyways. | ||

I havent had a single person come in with a full MR page, I'm guessing you might not be able to get him out of lane until you get a few Drings or other mana regen. But nobody can just eat every single Q and stick around, its a ton of damage. Also you use the shield from the Q to AA them a ton, which adds a lot of physical damage. Also, vs kayle: teemo strong, cho and nasus become basically unkillable after a certain point. Malphite really strong vs her if played right, and panth too of course. | ||

If you auto him to harass, you almost always will push the lane, because his minions are trying to attack you, while your minions are killing his minions. Usually though I choose Nasus as a counterpick rather than a blind pick for top lane. | ||

I don't play much top, but I would assume that most mages who go top pretty much have to use spells to get a health advantage. Because otherwise you have to worry about the other person jumping on you as most bruisers will win a straight up trade. I play Swain top sometimes and I know that if it wasn't for his passive I'd go oom a lot just making sure I can keep them low enough to not worry about being harassed or dived. I think Ryze can get away with it just cause he builds so much mana and mana regen. | ||
