Yeah, it took a crapton of potions, but Riven kept up on CS enough to grab a Bloodthirster for the mid-game. That was really impressive given how much pressure was being applied top from Lulu, Mundo, and TF. They also missed that Curse had a really strong poke comp. I was actually surprised Curse did nothing to capitalize on that. Even with TF in another lane countering a split-push, Mundo + Sivir + Lulu + Janna have a lot of poke and a lot of disengage.

If I don´t go mid I know that my mid will most certainly feed him and then blame it on me for not banning him, and also the jungler for never ganking. 2. Whenever I go bruiser mid to counter him so bad he can´t do shit, I get shit on by the team and they start raging calling me retarded. to 1: There is no objective certainty that 'your mid' will feed kassadin except you know the guy in advance. to 2: Bruisers do not generally 'counter' kassadin. kassadin basicly has 2 strategical strengths... A. he is a superiour gank assist. burst mobility and disables is what makes ganks from the jungle to kassadins lane extremely powerful. If you want to gank mid and there is kassadin, then it will be more likely a success than if there was AP-carry XY with only a few exceptions. B. he is a superiour ganker during the midgame. for the same reason as above and especially when it comes down to gank warded lanes, because its litteraly impossible for the support to spot kassadin with just wards. He can come from so many angles and has an improved blink (like shaco and fiddle). C. His specialised skillset has some strong mid/lategame synergies and works very well vs some picks. To shut his incredible mobility down you need a fuckton of disables (or just more than your opponents). I wouldnt say anymore that he is just generally strong lategame but in the right circumstances he can be considered the best possible pick. But(!) he is considered as one of the weakest laners in the game. Alot of bruisers and ranged AD-carries are good vs kassadin because kassadin is bad at laneing before lvl 6 and even after then he has major issues against alot of champions, especially sustainers. To 'win a lane' as kassadin you need to get either alot of assist from the jungler (look A) or you need opportunities for ganks. This is not the case for alot of other AP carries, alot of popular picks will scale better, have better laneing presence, push faster etc. so its easy for them to control their lane on their own. If you really want to counter kassadin then prevent his jungler from assisting him. A kassadin who is behind can easily come back with just a few kills and extend that into pushing the minions back and roam like crazy.

Doesn't really give a chance to ban the OPs like shen or stuff however they did ban Morgana which I haven't seen Froggen play but I guess I don't keep up with who they play.

It´s from experience that I know that my mid will most certainly feed kassadin, my ELO is terrible. No matter how many times I ping for Kassadin coming or how much I ward, people at my ELO won´t even notice it. I know how to deal with Kassadin just fine, most of the people at my ELO don´t, that´s why I ban him. I also get flamed and raged at if I don´t, which is rather annoying.

Yeah, I hate how I can never ban who I want because I have to deal with "BAN MORG BAN KASS" then you don't ban them, they get picked, and then it's "OMG NOOB NO BAN MORG WE LOSE NOW QQ"
