It's really that thing about bans: you can't rely on those 3-4 dudes, so you don't try to.

![]() Does anyone happen to have a Razer rune code that's still valid on EUW? I really need that shit for my best RL bud who plays a ton of jungle Ali and shit. I would REALLY appreciate it.

I dunno, I doubt they'd troll with 6 grand on the line though, even it it WAS an online event. I mean maybe, but you don't have to have a super secret strat to just go 5 normal lanes and try to win through standard play. Trolling is kinda pointless

You could play a much more standard setup and that would not reveal anything. It was probably more a case of getting out the secret and unconventional strats, and failing horribly at that. And yeah, with 6000 $ on the line that was the biggest final in more than a month I think. Also, the importance of "offline" is way overrated.

I remember in a thread (think it was Soe's Corner for NASL) Day9 made a comment about how when casting for a tourney his job is to make things exciting, while in a daily it's to be informative. Brief paraphrase of course. So they're supposed to create tension. His example was a 5 second window regarding warp gates coming online. Now he may know that the Protoss has prepared correctly and is going to hit the timing but he doesn't tell the viewers that. He says something like, "Oh wow this is going to be close". Granted, it's one thing when it's obvious to everyone and their mom the other team has lost in LoL but think of how lame it is for them to be like, "well this is over, come back in ten minutes for the next game". Debatebly worse than trying to find some reason the other team is still in it.

Debatebly worse than trying to find some reason the other team is still in it. That's only when there is tension to be had. In basketball the commentators don't talk about how the team down 30 with a minute to play is going to stage the epic comeback. They talk about the next game, what the team did wrong, what they need to improve for next time etc.

I find it interesting, that when ever I get a graves, they lose to cait, and when ever I get cait, they lose to graves :/. I don't understand.

I think it's because everyone here is fairly certain they or someone else on these boards could do better, and hope that at some point somebody will. Sometimes I consider casting but most tournament games happen while I'm at work. It kind of puts a damper on the idea.
