The way you play against a double bruiser lane really depends on who you are and who they are. But if you play it right, you shouldn't be dying, although you might get zoned.
I'll take the Vayne+Taric v Bliz+Ali example above.
- Ward the brush. You always need vision of where they are. Always keep warding. Taric can delay the gp10 if it means you get constant ward uptime if you don't have CV.
- Blitz hook has ~16 sec CD. If he misses one, you have about that much time to farm. Each wave takes ~30 sec to arrive so that's 50% uptime to farm without fear of hook. Ali WQ combo is also about 16sec CD as well.
- Try to keep the lane in the middle. Getting pushed to turret just means that your own minion wave isn't there to screen yourself from Blitz. You can let it pull slightly to your side of the river but don't let it be pushed all the way to your tower. As Vayne, you don't have the range to farm under tower with hook threat.
- Use Condemn and Taric stun for peel. Don't waste it.
- Get out of the "must farm everything" mindset that you'd normally have as the AD. You scale much harder than them. Even if your IE/BT is delayed by 5-10 min it's fine if you don't die in lane.
- Try get a double gank from jungle+mid at the same time if you can. It's not completely necessary, but if you get one once you're level 6 it's a kill lane for you. Vayne at 6 with CC backup is terror.
I disagree slightly with Mugi that they absolutely need kills to be useful since Ali can run fine with barely any items and so can Blitz if they land their CC right. Although for most bruisers this does hold true. Also, Janna or Ali works much better than Taric against bruiser lane since you get more peel.

Yeah, the key against kill lanes is that they're actually much more effective if they can push the minion wave against you. You don't want them to have level advantage + more minions and no minions on your side to block skillshots/their pathing etc.

Thing is kill lanes don't seem to be so effective these days since bottom lane is a giant rice fest. Hope something is done to change that though. I know Kog'Maw is getting his Level 1-5 scaled down, so hopefully we'll see kill lanes come back into play more in higher level play.

This so much. As Riven I was just like wtf do I do? Everytime I got near she just whips on her ranged thing and takes large chunks out of me >< Seemed so lame. I did manage to kill her a couple times but she got my tower pretty easily. Didn't help that my jungle only showed himself top twice because bot needed a lot of help.

Practiced with a friend, and the way it worked out for me was....take e at level 1, get some MR. You can trade a bit at level 1, though not that advised. Level 2 is really dangerous. Level 3 and on is fine for riven.

I botlaned kayle with a kog @ 2k elo and fb'd the enemy ashe at lvl 2 and kept her at 65 cs at 17 minutes...

To be fair though, Ashe is a really weak laner and it doesn't take much to bully her out of lane if she doesn't have a good support. =P

why not just play naut? better than blitz in every way
naut is a great support if they know how to play it, especially paired with some one like graves. real terror lane

Went Kayle top against Akali. Easy level 2 FB, then CONSTANTLY (always in ward vision) camped by a tag-teaming jungler and mid. They were tilling the fields and laying the foundations for the stables by the time laning ended. Still kept up with CS.

How is Naut better than Blitz for support? Blitz pull is alot better, you dont need AOE in lane from Naut. Then lategame unfarmed Naut is pretty crap, Q pulls himself into death, and he cant race about with oracles like a retard like blitz.

While Naut support inst terrible, you really can't say it's better than blitz in every case. Heck, in most cases, Blitz is probably better, simply due to how his hook works and because hes harder to catch as a support.
