Maybe. Depending on how they're doing spectator mode though, if they do replays the same way the replay files will be enormous. Although, since they have a way to do the timeshift-thing without completely destroying their servers, then maybe they ARE close. | ||

There's no reason why the main server would have to be slowed down by additional spectators, given that it's pretty much a read-only interaction (you're not modifying the game world by spectating, unlike the players). IIRC there's also a delay between actual game and what you're seeing, which makes it even much simpler technically to spread the load to unrelated servers. | ||
