I've been jungling for a while now so I guess this is the role I'll take. I sort of know the basics of jungling and such, but my hero pool is pretty limited. I've been playing noc as he's free atm and I kinda like him, but from what I understand he isn't a top tier jungler (and is also 6300). Also played amumu but I don't really like him even though he has a lot of utility.
So my question is: how are junglers tiered and which should I buy? I've got ~7k ip saved up. I've got a standard arp/as rune page, but do I need any specific runes (e.g. ms etc.) I also prefer the 'clear the jungle and gank at 4' strategy, but wouldn't mind trying my hand at a lvl2 gank. I've seen TOO's jungle guide and I don't really have problems clearing.
TL;DR: what junglers do i buy with 7k ip if i prefer ricing instead of ganking. I would say Udyr, Shyvana, Lee Sin, Maokai, and Nocturne are the top tier jungle picks right now. But I would also recommend trying Jarvan, Rammus, Mundo, and maybe skarner or ww. With the 7k ip I would at least buy Udyr and then maybe Mundo or you could save for jarvan or one of the 6300 ip junglers. Tbh i mostly jungle and usually just rely on Udyr WW Skarner and Shyv as my main go to junglers. I'm still learning Mundo jungle, and I dunno if GP is still agood jungle atm

Pantheon secret #1 jungle.

Thanks guys :> I actually have mundo and ww already because they are stronk (and because I needed cheap champs to play draft), so I'll get udyr and then look to save for something more expensive (shyv/noc/skarner/lee sin)

Meh, Pantheon's early-mid ganks are terrifying, but Lee Sin has a lot more functionality later on with merely scary early-mid ganks.

Mundo>Shyvana; Both of them have more or less equally fast clear speeds and are both really good at counterjungling. What makes Mundo>Shyvana is the fact that Mundo isn't red buff reliant when it comes to ganks and he actually has a good ranged poke. In SV's words, Mundo does everything Shyvana does and more. Rammus is definitely top tier jungler cause powerball ganks are ridiculous. Not so sure about Nocturne. He's good, but the other junglers are just better.

Don't forget the tried and true WW. He has some of the best ganks post-6, and I'd go as far to say as he's the best jungler to have mid-late game. He just does so much after his awkward level 1-5 phase.

When on earth did this happen? I heard a lot about Mundo losing too much health clearing to be effective, bad transition late game etc., and now everyone is just like "Oh yeah, Mundo is fucking awesome, Tier 1 jungler easy". Did he recieve some changes I'm not aware of? Did someone find a novel build for him that offset some of his weaknesses? Did some pro player commit to him and realized he was good?

I find the lack of Amumu suggestions disturbing. Especially since you said you like to farm instead of gank.
|
Are you guys watching the ggChronicle thing ? Dignatas has the weirdest line up including solo top karma, ad rammus and support ezreal ^^

I think that the huge weakness of Amumu is his 1v1, especially against popular junglers.
|
I also said I didn't like amumu, He just feels a bit too boring in that all you do is spam e and hit r whenever a teamfight breaks out. I might try him some more since he's free but he just doesn't suit me. Also his voiceover sucks.
Also, is rammus worth buying or will I never get to play him outside blind picks?

They trollin'. They had a trolly line-up game 1 also but won that one pretty handily. They may need to take game 3 seriously (assuming they don't come back in this one).

So, Sejuani, why does nobody play her?
I guess her damage is a little bit weak, but her level 4 gank is pretty good and her level 6 ganks are very good. Her clear isn't that slow (not super fast either). Is she just outclassed by other CC bots (Rammus, mumu, etc)?

Is she just outclassed by other CC bots (Rammus, mumu, etc)? you kinda answered your own question with kinda a slow clear speed and weak on the damage. pretty much every other common jungler will out jungle her or out gank her. yes she has good initiation but late game all she really is is a tanky cc bot that doesn't put out that much damage

Not much damage and isn't that fun to play in solo q for most people. She's a great champ for arranged teams, but she has the galio syndrome.

At my level (~1400 elo) Shaco is the only jungler permabanned that you could only practice in blind picks. Rammus, Lee Sin and Shyvana are occasionally banned but not enough (definitly in less than 25% of the games) so I couldn't pratice them. The other junglers are basicly never banned.

What's the Galio syndrome?

Go Trundle, definitely a top tier jungle. His clear speed and ganks are great, his overall damage and tankiness with just a few items is amazing and his counter-jungling is great too. I have no idea why he isn't picked more often imo
