Just thinking, if Naut's shield adds 300 damage in 1.01 seconds with a recurve bow, like TL mathcrafted before, then it's essentially an attack damage steroid with .8AP damage scaling (for however long that shield holds). Pretty strong.

Soniv I read your post in the qq thread but I'm not qqing ATM so I didn't want to respond there

I usually start slumping when I go out of my comfort zone and am forced to do solo mid or ad or something. Then I tilt, feed, and carry it to the next game. After a while I get to the point of "well I've lost so many in a row, I'm bound to get carried soon' and I play shut like ap yi or jungle irelia or w/e. Don't do that. It never works. Sometimes you just have Terrible luck - best thing to do is to go and play as an old favorite - for me udyr or skarner - and just clean house with them. For me it's going /ignore all and making sure I get every single buff when it spawns. Get back in rhythm and you can take your streak the other direction. After I basically had 14 straight games with a d/c (I'm not even exaggerating ) I just buckled down with skarner and went from 1350 back to 1650 pretty much without a hitch.

that's just blatantly not true though
I've seen plenty of great players just fall apart with rage or confusion
To say that anyone can completely transcend the emotional black hole that is solo queue is just silly

basically, AD offense masteries are too strong, AP offense is good, but only for lategame (blast and archmage are the best scaling talents, while mental force is among the worst)

utility is complete ass.

defense is okay, but it's more efficient gold-wise to take offense masteries and build defense than to take defense masteries and build offense.

you have it completely backwards with the "falling off" because most of the masteries in offense and defense scale with your items/stats. and building defense (at least stacking EHP) on a carry is stupid for obvious reasons.

and even you stated that it's better in lane.

The new champ is underwhelming. It might just be me, but it doesn't seem like she can really do a whole lot of damage. I have been trying to jungle with her, and her early game seems descent but doesnt scale well into the late game well. Am I just doing something wrong or is this a common problem?

You just building her wrong or something.

She scales similarly to a Master Yi, if not even harder imo. Her autos deal tons of damage regardless of items, but you can simply go straight AD on her because her E gives you a ridiculous +120% attack speed and also resets your auto attack timer.

That, and her ultimate has an absurdly high AD scaling... things just die.

hmm... I am sufficiently curious now... I thought that Utility is best because it isn't itemized nearly as much as the offensive tree, and in all my games I have just always felt like my utility was helping me substantially more, especially when it comes to mana regen, summoner CD, CDR, Buff duration, etc.

is offensive really better?

Forget what I said earlier, just messed around a bit with masteries and now see the value of offensive. They are just all really good imo

What is the 10th point in utility? Nothing low in the tree is worth grabbing over the Execution mastery at 21 O. Just go 21-0-9.

It depends. Some bruisers like 21-9, others like 9-21. It depends on who you want to play.
