Yes. That's what made Lanedyr become popular originally because Wriggle's procs would replenish your mana in turtle form but luckily they fixed that.
Then there's also the fact that it gives you life steal and a free ward...

Well personally im having serious issues with this patch, as there is one support that feels head and shoulders above the rest: sona. She remains untouched by this patch. The nerf on graves feels superficial at best, hes still super strong in comparison to the rest, sivir being his rival as vayne's nerf feels much harsher than his, 5 base movement and 10 chase ms really hurts. Yes lategame she is still a monster but her early was the issue before and now its even worse, granted its not as bad as some but it doesnt look really top tier atm. The issue with graves i feel is that you just cant trade with him as ad, and he always want to trade because of this, giving him such incredible lane dominance. Any time the opposition gets graves sona i feel quite outclassed this patch, although i need to probably play more games just to be sure it wasnt a poor performance by me.

I think there were a lot of possible other picks for top, and that banning Shyv wouldn't have done much.
Udyr and Skarner aren't that mana dependant, GP can abuse buffs way more than Shyvana (a blue steal is fun with Shyvana, gamechanging with GP), Kennen is even harder to catch and can push as hard, ... But yeah, clearly TRM didn't know the Shyvana matchup well enough, and they should have banned her fr that.

They should have totally banned shynava on the spot because
a) M5 very strong usage of her whole tournament. When you see someone wreck face with a champ, or in their case, 2 different players wrecking face with her, it's worth that 1 ban
b) they obviously have had very little practice against her and didn't know what she in capable hands would be able to pull off.
c) TOO thinks she is garbage in the jungle. Effecting decision making too much?
So they could have done all that pushing and invasion stuff with other champs too, but I'd say they aren't as efficient with it. For Udyr mana actually does matter at low-mid levels and unless he goes phoenix, he ain't gonna push that lane like shyvanananana. Skarner probably could push like maniac, but he will run dry if he has to use his W to move speedily around the map.
Mainly it imo comes down to that TSM weren't accustomed to shyvana being played well and M5 certainly were. No reason to let your opponent stay in their comfort zone if you can avoid it. What other bans did they do that was that game changing really?

I got that idea from watching Nhat, who goes 0/15/15 on Janna and Taric for the MS. I like it the best so far. GP/10 is neat and I care for the CDR/lvl and MS more than for the CC reduction than the reduced duration of disables. I like it.

Shouldda just picked yorick over irelia, especially when you have a karthus.

Shouldda just picked Teemo over irelia, especially when shrooms can spot counterjungling, you can clear the waves and stop shyvana from pushing into you ... oh and because its your main and its finally a good spot to use teemo...
TRM is just too weak with Irelia

TRM is just too weak with Irelia His trynd was really bad aswell, haven't really seen his irelia as they didn't show him that often but it was as if he wasn't even in lane lol.

Dyrus on Pantheon with a jungling Jax. Should be interesting to watch.
Or not.

Oh man. Regi responding to SV's reddit post. and also + Show Spoiler + http://solomid.net/blog.php?v=18322
Him Quoting Saintvicious "eh.... aggressive counter-jungling takes advantage of weak junglers and weak lane picks.
Moscow 5 took advantage of rain mans weak top lane performance/picks as well as oddones poor adaptability. I was really disappointed in how oddone played and I thought he would adapt better. Moscow 5 knows how to group and plays well in that sense but I think the aggressive counter jungling strat is extremely flawed and would not work against a solid jungler/top lane. CLG EU has shown this with their consistant wins vs moscow 5 in scrims."
"Also for people who say clg comes off as arrogant, clg as hands down double if not tripple any teams overall tourney wins on the history of competitive league. We are also one of the oldest teams in league as well. I give my opinion from that point and nothing else. It's like John Madden critiquing a play in football and then someone coming out and saying madden is an arrogant idiot for doing so. I speak from a long line of experience and nothin more. M5 is going to end up being the next dig, do well one tourney and get overhyped." ENDQUOTE
Team Solomid has always had a very outspoken attitude and it is a trait that has garnered the love and hope of so many fans. TSM has not had an amazing track record in tournaments and while we relish our victories, we show humility in defeat. Unfortunately, not every team follows our same philosophy, as one could see from the above quote on Reddit from CLG's Saintvicious.
All teams appreciate constructive criticism, however Saint's comments were anything but. While Saintvicious and TheOddOne do have an intense rivalry, there is a limit. As a team, we acknowledge our own mistakes and work to address them, but Saint's comments on a public forum are ones stemming from arrogance and are of no reasonable value. This isn't the first time, after MLG Providece, HotshotGG posted on Reddit stating, "my hero repertoire hard counters their Yorick, I know it wouldn't have been a problem for me." Instead of congratulating TheRainMan on his impressive play at MLG, he instead claims that if it were him there, there would simply be no contest between the two.
Though Saintvicious claims that "he speaks from a long line of experience," CLG has not won a single LAN tournament with their full roster since WCG 2010, including a 0-2 loss to MiG in the recent Korean tournament in which CLG was the only western team present. CLG speaks with authority, but lacks the force to back it up and it has been showing with their recent slump resulting in the departure of long-time member, Elementz.
Moscow 5 played amazing at IntelEM Kiev, impressing everyone and garnering the attention of hundreds of thousands worldwide. Despite such an impressive play, CLG's only comment are that they will never become a top tier team and that had CLG been there, it would have been a victory for CLG. This is not the attitude that any team should take in regards to upcoming superstars. CLG should show a bit more respect to any team that are not themselves and work on their own play instead of criticizing every other team's.
As for us, we plan to continue to practice as much as possible and we will be playing on the Europe-West server in preparation for future tournaments. Also, on behalf of Team Solomid, we congratulate Moscow 5 for their victory over us in the grand finals of IntelEM Kiev in the best matches of the tournament. I wish them the best of luck in upcoming events and in the rest of their LoL careers.

Haha, while I don't think the post is out of line or has malicious intent or anything, this struck me as funny:
...their recent slump resulting in the departure of long-time member, Elementz. "Hey! Remember how those douchebags kicked elementz off their team?! Fuck those dudes, CLG sucks!"

Everyone grab the popcorn, part 12 of TSM vs CLG mudthrowing banterwars is on screen!

Because solo queue means anything to Lan tournament play.

How do you guys lane against graves as an ad carry? I feel like there's absolutely nothing I can do against him, every time you trade, you lose. And he has a gap closer. He can easily zone you and you can't do shit about it. That stupid armor is such bs.

he is good but not that good. sivir, corki can hit back hard enough, with caitlyn and kog you can harass back effectively if you use your longer range well. vayne, twitch can't do much.

So I take those masteries and I run gold seals. craton actually told me they were good and it took me too long (at least a week) to realize he was right I would really like to try them out, but the IP costs of those runes are too damn high. It really turns me off. I can see how they would be great on a support like Soraka.
I tried out putting more masteries into defence as Alistar but I didn't really notice much of an increase in his survivability because the only spell of his that increases his tankiness is his ult. I don't think the cdr/lvl mastery really helps in any significant way for him, and level scaling masteries aren't great on supports because they almost always are the least leveled players in the game, and this is true even when I take +5% experience in the utility tree. I've only played Taric when he's free, but I kinda feel the same way with him. His survivability comes from a skill passive, which doesn't require any cdr.
Also, does the new Ninja Tabi reduce damage from on-hit effects as well? Like wit's end, kog maw W, etc.
