I also have ZERO clue what masteries I am supposed to be running, so I end up just going 0-9-21 with a bunch of random shit in utility and health in defense. those are the masteries I use as support too.

Ya I guarantee its not the most efficient/best, but I needed masteries real quick one time so I put them together in 15 seconds and refuse to go back and fix them because looking at the utility tree makes me cry.

I run 0-22-8 on supports except sona, 21-9-0 on her

I run Mpen, Armor, MR/lv, Gp10 or MS on most of my supports. 0/6/24 on Soraka and Janna, 0/4/26 on Sona, 0/21/9 on Alistar and Leona.
EDIT: I a huge fan of movement speed masteries and runes on supports. Delay boots as long as possible, show up to lane with like 340 ms yaya

9/0/21 or 0/9/21 on the three supports I play. Rest of trees have nothing very useful deep down.

Depends on the support really. I can see it being decent on alistar or taric. @de4ngus thankfully shyvanna free week ends soon

Low level players (we're talking like summoner 1-15) always find a way to surprise me. I'm trying to get my buddies into the game, and while it is kinda fun to troll and do ridiculous stuff (using Rammus as an AP carry? Fuck yeah!) it is just... weird.
I think bots games give these players so many ridiculous and bad habits it isn't funny. Good examples are how they alll push their lanes ridiculously hard, ignore the importance of CS, facecheck every bush possible for the lulz, and just generally have no idea the importance behind objectives like Baron/Dragon/Buffs.
All of this stuff is relatively common, but there is even more, and the more you play with these players the more you almost facepalm. I was jungling Rammus (rushing deathcap ofcourse. trololol) and went to gank bottom because it was like the most gankable lane I have ever seen and our bottom was getting absolutely shat on. I pinged, let them know, and both the Vayne and Graves bot were like "Kk, sounds good."
I go in and grab a double kill, but I found it really odd how both of them backed off almost completely and didn't even get assists. I asked why and they told me "Dude, we didn't want to KS man."
*facepalm*
This was followed by me being at a loss for words, explaining how I was a tank and could tank fairly well with relatively mediocre farm compared to being totally riced, and they that were carries so they should be getting gold because they can't carry well with mediocre farm.
I think it is really cute how these lowbies adhere to the bots code of KSing is the worst offense you can have. It honestly has just made my day. Honestly though, I'd rather have some jackass steal all my kills and actually get gold from the asisst than have them get away and have me get nothing aside them being out of lane temporarily. Maybe KSing is bad, but kill ensuring is definitely a good thing.
Oh, and I also shit on a poor Annie mid with Karma. Used my E to literally block all of her last hits. I felt bad afterwards but decided that someone thinking Karma didn't suck balls was definitely a good thing. <_<

Ionno. He basically doesnt say anything to actually rebut what SV said about picks and whatnot.
SPOILERS TO FOLLOW: CRATON DONT LOOK
SERIOUSLY CRATON! DONT LOOK!
The biggest issue IMO is just TSM HAD the blueprint to shut down m5, then said "fuck it, we wanna beat them at their own game."
Like, you look back at the 2010 dreamhack with the original CLG, and ryek or whatever his name was used TF to basically dominate every team in the tournament. Then his team hit CLG, they played 1 game and TF ran shit. So CLG banned TF and forced the euros to beat them at CLG's game. They couldnt even come close to matching CLG without, what at the time, was a gimmick. Then everyone KNEW about global ults, map control, and split pushing. It took about a month of solo q for the NA scene to break down the strat and beat it. But the point is they didnt try to do it AT THE TIME. They just did what they knew they were best at and won the tournament, then worried about the new strat afterwards.
TSM did the opposite. They were determined to beat M5 at their own game. They saw what happened in game 1, and even then they didnt bother trying to break m5 strategy, they let them do it again. Now, they were still able to win because they got a few early kills and used that to flow into their normal strategy: using their superior laning abilities to dictate the flow of the game. Thats what TSM does. TRM stalls top while regi wins mid with the help of TOO and Xpecial and chaox win bot. Then THEY chose when to force objectives like buffs and dragons. Now, game 2 was slightly flukey (you cant count on free kills to start the game) but what it DID show was that m5 COULD NOT COMPETE with TSM when they dictated the flow. And they also should have learned that just playing someone that could force top lane to stay put completely shut down the jungle invade.
But then we get to game 3. And this is where TSM proved UNEQUIVOCALLY that they cannot possibly ever become the top LoL team unless they look in the mirror. First problem: they refused to ban Shyvana. They could have shut down the most effective m5 strat right there. But they wanted to beat m5 on m5's terms. It wasnt about winning the tournament. It was about something else, pride probably. Best evidence? Look at TOO's twitter between games. "To everyone who says we need to ban Shyvana, take a look at this!" TSM didnt want to win. They wanted to humiliate M5. and thats the difference between TSM and CLG. CLG would have just slapped a ban on any champion that could have possibly allowed M5 to run that strat, or put together a team that completely forced M5 to play safer, even if it meant M5 got stronger standard comp champions than CLG: they knew that, on their terms, M5 wouldnt have stood a chance. Then they would have gone back to NA and figured out how to counter that gimmick regularly (cuz, after all, M5's invade is a gimmick at this point.)
TSM didnt. For some reason, winning wasnt good enough. They had to prove THEIR way was right. Its why they didnt ban Shyv. Its why they let/asked TRM to play Irelia again. And its why they lost.

IEM Discussion spoilered for Craton? + Show Spoiler +Yep I agree that TSM was indeed stubborn. It really isn't that much different then how TOO was surprised that nobody banned Maokai during Providence when none of the teams really knew how to deal with Maokai letting TOO gank middle successfully many times.
Anyways so is everyone going to start counter jungling more, top lane most notably since mid already steals wraiths to a degree. Counter jungling for laners really isn't that good for farm, you're just as good in lane, but it just keep the enemy jungler so far down in their farm.

Double MS masteries on every support! Add in my MS quints and that alistair is HUGE in lane

If I'm duoing, I might. I'm still lacking confidence in counterjungling and it seems like an easy way to build some up if I can pull a laner in with me.
Also, being the only Shyvana play I've seen since around her release I'm very happy to see that people found her niche as a jungler.

They hadn't even aired the rerun earlier.
Anyway, they might counterjungle more but they'll just end up dying for it and eventually stop trying.

You already are over max cdr with normal support build, so the only reason to get CDR would be for early game, which cdr/level doesn't help. You can get movespeed from support tree, but it's more of a convenience than anything in practical situations. CC reduction is okayish, but it's similar to why you generally don't get mercs: if you need it, you're probably already dead.
