In my mind, she is the strongest support when it comes to zoning people and building an advantage for your AD carry, as well as providing decent sustain with W. I think now with bot constantly warded and the summoner heal trend, people are even less willing to commit against a Sona/AD combo. This ends up giving extra room for Sona to be aggressive and beat out other supports to win the lane. I was thinking about this earlier but I am starting to feel that people would still pick Sona even if her spells don't generate a passive aura simply because they are almost just bonuses from all the things she does well.

Sona is definitely a cut above the rest, she does amazing damage, is tied for best healing and has a game-changing ultimate. I think Sona is around the strength that supports should be, the others should be buffed to match her.

Given 2 ad carries of equal skill, the better support will win bot lane. Its the reason that TSM's bot lane is so good. Chaox is a competent carry, but Xpecial makes him look like a god. And being able to peel/heal effectively makes the difference in teamfights that last longer than .5 seconds. Of course, all that doesnt mean that it STILL doesnt suck to play support in solo q because 99% of the time your team will be retarded. @ the poll, I dont really hate playing support in a nutshell. Better statement is do you hate playing support in solo q where you have no idea of the relative skill of your teammates.

It's kind of boring being the heal/ward bitch. But being a powerful lane harasser with a massive AoE stun? That's fun, because your effect on the game is very tangible and obvious.

Playing support with a retard who never harasses or dives crazily or doesn't notice junglers ganking through 4 wards is insanely not fun /begin tryhard Ally AD never harasses: npnp he farms and you harass and zone their AD and you still win. Ally AD doesn't notice junglers ganking through wards: he WILL notice when you spam 10 pings+retreat pings. Also, if you harass your bot enemies enough and heal your ally enough and the jungler is derp enough (that's alot of ands) in rare cases it can even be a 1v2 countergank. Ally AD has 1 cs by 3 mins: you start last hitting, nofarm AD + farmed support > enemy nofarm AD + nofarm support Ally AD dives crazily: no idea ![]() /end tryhard Sometimes your team will derp *too* hard, then you just lulz and shout "Tonight we dine in hell!" and tryhard all the way. :3

Support is fun enough for me though. I enjoy healing and supporting in teamfights as it present its own challenges. Just I hate not being able to talk quickly to your lane partner to fight or disengage. Sometimes with Alistar I will pulverize just to harass when they face check bushes, but then occasionally my partner thinks that means we're committing to fight and one of us ends up dying for no reason.
