Hm, Loco? ![]() POLL! 1500 elo actually tells you next to nothing. The solo q ladder breaks down to this: sub 1200- You dont know how to farm minions and/or champions 1200-1500- You dont know how late game works, or you still dont know how to farm minions or champions 1500-1800- You have the basics down. You can farm well, and you know how to play a game out late and where to be. 1800-2200- You have 2-3 champs that you know all the ins and outs of in terms of being able to come out ahead in little trades, but you still make a few bad trades to worse players & one or two bad plays a game. 2200+ You never make bad trades to worse players, and given any semblance of a lead against bad players you can close it out. You can also get quick leads by just being BETTER than everyone in the game (see SV at -2 elo, jiji on any smurf in the 1500s). So ya. 1500 isnt any good as a cutoff because it really isnt a measure of skill, just basic knowledge and having decent mechanics.

The worst for me was playing against Eve. They ALWAYS wait until the last minute. I'm recalling in a bush and as the animation finishes up I breathe a sigh of relief because I think I'm safe, when BAM. Or when I'm recalling and that Destiny debuff appears over my head, and all I can think is "please don't be me.. please don't be me"

So ya. 1500 isnt any good as a cutoff because it really isnt a measure of skill, just basic knowledge and having decent mechanics. sub 1200- probably playing under 10 FPS. you need to get a better computer, better mouse, or actually start caring about ELO. You belong here if you cannot get out. This is not ELO hell 1200-1500 - you don't know/aren't good at all roles. You need to stop intentionally feeding and running into turrets for stress relief every 5 games. some people are very good in this ELO and don't play enough games as well. The most common "ELO hell" because of the vast disparity in skill between players. 1500-1800 - you are likely just a 1200-1500 who tryhards too often (not saying it's a bad thing) 1800-2200 - you are a god and can carry people, but get too frustrated after losing when you were raping everyone. Then start sucking like everyone else 2200+ - you are either a progamer, play 6+ hours a day on average, played sleeper OP champions that were never banned, or just one of the 1800-2200's who got really lucky. BTW, I just made up BS, as I've never played above 1650~. I just don't think ELO shows skill until you're platinum. I've seen 1800 ELO players in normal that honestly just suck balls (in my opinion anyways).

I'll play with you guys instead!" and so the cycle continues. Someday though, someday I'll get around to actually playing more ranked so I can be cool like everyone else. The one thing that ranked (hopefully) teaches is how to tighten up your play if you actually want to win. Its one of those things where no matter how hard you think you tryhard in normals, you never really understand the true meaning of tryhard till you are trying to break a 5 game losing streak. Of course, as soon as you catch yourself doing that and STILL losing, you have a shot at elo enlightenment: when winning and losing does not matter, only the ability to play whatever the fuck you want and shit on tryharders faces can make you truly happy. However, it takes many cycles of winning and losing streaks for elo enlightenment to occur. For some it is near instantaneous (caller) for others, they will never be able to reach the freedom that just not caring will bring (shikyo).

But if you're going to call it the "memorial" whatever you should at least figure out what its a memorial to. Most memorial stadiums are to people nobodies ever heard of but they're at least dead.
