Want to rage about your latest loss? Use the QQ thread. If you whine in GD, you'll get warned. |
Starting a team/finding people for your team that fit is harder then the actual training itself.
Stop acting as if its done just because you wanna do it. I've been looking for a suitable top player for tl.eu since september. And if you finally find someone who you think is suitable, they either don't have the time or are already in a shitty team with their IRL friends which they can't really leave.

What an embarrassment. You should try a game named StarCraft 2. Looks like it would suite you way more :p

@LoCi - this may be out of line but I'd enjoy your stream more if you didn't persistently use 'gay' as a perjorative. Nobody's perfect.

Need help in a hypothetical situation (I don't know if this has happened to me, but I just thought about it)
Say I'm mid playing as RYZE or Viegar, etc. Before level 7-ish both of their stuns/snares are about 1 second long. A jungler comes to gank. How should this play out?
I think ideally, it should be: I initiate, blow off a combo making it look like harass the guy runs in, smash on enemy until he starts running/flash -> uses slow/stun both attack and then jungler uses gap closer to get the kill (if he isn't already dead)
but I think at my level, the jungler usually stuns first, while he's under my CC still and also blows gap closer to get to the guy which ends up in them getting away. Even telling them I'll initiate doesn't help solve this half the time, is there anything else to do about this?
Also, when I'm jungling, I seem to make the exact same mistake as well, or I get impatient waiting for them to initiate, it's a bad habit but I feel like it's hurting me too much to wait for a gank that might not be successful (unless the guy's struggling then I can wait) What's the best thing to do in a situation like this?
Also, as mid how do you make it look like not a gank when all his creeps are at your tower and you run past them to initiate (taking a tonne of creep damage in the process) or should you wait for the jungler to initiate in a situation like this? I just feel like my reaction to ganks and creating gank situations lets down my game in Solo. With friends who I know well I seem to do a lot better.

Honestly I don't watch loci stream because I don't wanna see ryze/nasus/lux/panth, they are just boring to me.
|
Its all about being part of the Esports scene IMO. Loci your numbers got really high when you played with Dignitas(?). All the top streamers, except for Gman Bob, are part of a team.
And I really enjoy watching any champion you play, but duo lanes are boring IMO if its not a coordinated Chaox-Xpecial kind of thing.
But yea, all about being part of LoL Esports, being a top player not enough.
|
Lol at the jungle banking changes, fail gank, go back to jungle, camp stolen, back to no gold/xp.
|
The new jungle is pathetic, there are no viable junglers anymore
|
The new jungle has lowered the skillcap needed by about 86.9% if you fail your first gank and the other jungler didn't it's gg. There is no comming back at all. My goto guy is Shaco and when he is banned I jungle rammus. I was facing a lee sin. Lee sin did not get a kill on his first gank, I did. After that Lee Sin had no chance in hell of ever being in that game. He tried to gank bot, both our people bot wasted flash and trist used her exhaust it was not a bad gank, but Leona/Tristana is not the easiest lane to gank. I ganked top that was overextending a bit got the kill. Noticed that Lee Sin failed his gank bot. Went in took his entire left side of the jungle (Golems to wraiths) and that spelled the end of that game. When lee sin hit 6 top was 12. that is how easy it was to fuck him over for the rest of the game. I know he can't solo kill me so i can steal whatever camp I wanted, and since I'm rammus there was no need what so ever to fear the laners cause if they left I could just powerball my ass out of there.
|
Riot is just trying to implement all sorts of abstruse "solutions" that are absolutely counterintuitive and confusing to make it look like they don't completely messed up the jungle instead of reverting it and going back to testing their changes properly. "Hey, we changed all sorts of stuff and after a day of it being live we realise it's complete trash, woops." #1 company.

jiji is very mannered, bob is of course mannered, there are more.
I am inclined not to care if streamers rage as long as they A) display a lot of skill and B) have a strong personality. Why do people love to hate on grackis rage but the reaction to hotshot rage is very mild? It's because grackis doesn't display the same level of skill most of the top streamers do, and because his rage is boring, it's the same every game and very trite and unimaginative. You probably know 18 people who would rage exactly like him. Rainman really puts himself out there, he's a great performer and his style is unique to himself.
Loci thought he could get a lot of viewers by not being a douche, well, he's wrong, being a douche doesn't hurt or help. It's like saying you're going to become a popular lol streamer by having excellent taste in wine. If loci wants more viewers he should've taken theatre classes. Be extroverted, do you have any idea how hard it is to watch loci's stream and feel as he feels? The most popular streamers, you watch them and it's so much easier to feel the agony of defeat and triumph of... triumph and so on.

Shushei is also very mannered I would say, I know you want to motivate him to keep streaming but at least you have to be truthful.
But Loci, I agree with the others that you do not become popular over night, it is normal that you don't want to play for a period of time but remember that no one just gets 5000 viewers, it is just as much visibility as it is about entertainment, I did not even know you streamed and I watch streams and read these forums a lot.

He hardly ever streamed before then, it was like... once a year event. Then when he got a big publicity boost he streamed consistently and as a result he retained his viewers since he has the visible and unusual personality I talked about.
I hardly ever watch smashgizmo because he hardly ever streams and when he does it's often only for one game... so I see it's up and then it's already over. Streaming frequently and for long stretches at once definitely helps.

+ Show Spoiler [Jungle changes] +We're working with a "banking" system that has the big mobs in jungle camps build XP and gold rewards over time after being there for a bit (currently, one minute). This caps out after a certain amount of time as well, and while farming heavily is greater than waiting for the bank to build, the bank lessens the need to constantly farm to keep up.
Why this system?
* It rewards ganks and is a bit less punishing on gank attempts that don't result in kills for the jungler. After a gank attempt, the jungler can clear the jungle which has scaled a little bit while they were ganking.
* Smart counter-junglers can watch enemy gank patterns, then kill the big monster to steal the bank that's built and reset it. This adds additional value to counter-jungling in the new jungle on the efficiency side. This will encourage more jungler conflict as well as add tons of opportunities for great counter-junglers to pull ahead.
* It allows junglers to farm and catch up a little better if they fall behind early (Of course, enemies can continue to disrupt this and push the advantage as needed), but the option is there, which creates new strategic options for coming back.
There's a few other changes too, but this is the mechanics-level one we're testing right now. While I encourage feedback, I'm excited to see people try this out (if it continues testing well).
