Examples: mid leaves while their blue buff is up, support leaves shortly after their dragon ward runs out, top leaves and your mid lane is lb or somebody with a reliable escape | ||

Food for thought: my support Janna has the highest win percent of any of my champions with >5 games played (81%), which includes many of the games I played at my peak S1 Elo. Everyone likes to rag on the support role for being the easiest, but any good team (and especially heavy AD players) will tell you the support makes a tremendous difference in a game. I also greatly question the accuracy of your statistics. i think support is the hardest role personally, now that they've de-facerolled all the formerly mindless ones like soraka/sona. The fact that it's *not* easy is why we don't have tons of people saying it's hard, as contradictory as that seems. I played competitive tf2 for a while and there's a silent conspiracy in that community to pretend playing medic is hard. Nobody good wants to do it so every team is composed of five people on one skill level and one person, the medic, who would be in the next level down if he were trying to learn another class and is only rolling med to get a leg up. As a result everyone talks nice about them because there is a limited supply of these people. Support in this game is infinitely harder and so the level of respect for the role is simply where it should be, on par with the others with individual opinion putting it a little above or below. | ||

No. Sometimes following will just get you shit on. Should you follow an akali when you guy's have both just hit 7? Nooooope. Should you ping and say akali coming, gtfo!!! Yes. Point is, sometimes following is wrong. Either follow or take advantage of their absence (push, counter jungle, gang a separate lane, take drag) | ||

It depends on the laners in question, what they're leaving for, and other aspects of the situation. Is it safe for you to follow them (e.g. they can't insta-burst you and all champs in the fight they're leaving for are visible on the map)? Will it be able to make a difference (e.g. if it's 100% obvious that neither of you are going to get there before the fight is over, then him leaving just loses him farm)? How much farm are you giving up by leaving, and how does it compare to the worst possible outcome of the fight? I don't agree that you should always follow. There are too many variables to say that following is always the correct choice. Having the awareness and the sense to know when you should follow and when you shouldn't is part of becoming a better player, and blindly following in every situation loses you the opportunity to learn when it's correct and when it isn't. | ||
