Background: + Show Spoiler + My PC's motherboard fried like two months ago so I've been forced to play LoL on a laptop that runs it at 8-15 FPS. In team fights it goes down to like 5 FPS sometimes, which makes it impossible for me to do much of anything productive when it decides to crap out like that. It's a pretty ridiculous handicap already tbh. Even worse when I have to play champs I'm not as used to in order to fill in gaps cause most people have already picked their champs. Basically, when I queue into a game it takes like a full ten seconds to load all the champs. This means that for 9 out of 10 games someone else snatches up Riven before I even load into champ select and the few games where I somehow manage to grab Riven someone else tends to queue dodge. So now I've basically been deciding to queue dodge until I get to play her because damn it I like the way she plays and am trying to figure out optimal builds for her. I had my fair share of watching my team's Riven fail every game while I play a champ I didn't really wanna play but did anyway to fill in for our team. | ||

Initially I was hesitant about playing a DoTA-style game since I had really bad experiences in DoTA. Have only dodged once today and haven't queued back up. I've only ever bought Maokai and Riven on release day cause I know that releases are gonna be like this. Will probably just suck it up if I queue again and she gets snatched up. It's just frustrating seeing someone play her and feed.  edit: By the way MB, do you know about how long it takes Riot to respond if you put in a job application with them? Just out of curiosity. If you can't comment I understand though.  | ||

If you can't comment I understand though. I only really speak to Player/Tech Support but I was told around 3 weeks-ish as a ballpark figure..? Sometimes it can take longer if they're really busy. It really depends though since I think each department handles their own hiring process and it depends how busy they are I suppose.
