Ori is definitely 4800 =P
Also I recommend getting Orianna. I think she brings more to the team than Brand, who is very good, but can't fit into as many teams as Orianna imo.

Thing is rolling Gunblade leaves such a small manapool and he eats so much of it. :S

I just got wrecked by Cassiopea as Swain. Too much range, too much spam, I couldn't cast anything without eating much more (and the fact that he had flat AP and boots) and I got outzoned, out farmed pretty hard and finished 0-2 after losing the tower. I don't feel like I could do anything.

its like AD vs AS. HP and armor/MR are needed in good quantities because each boosts the effectiveness of the other

I think Triforce would be #1 item on skarner since he has really high base AD and he's pretty much constantly spamming his spells in fights.

But also Ori is almost a permaban in ranked whereas Brand is rarely banned. So if you going to play her in ranked, forget it.

Triforce + Wits End makes you unstoppable 1v1 with Skarner.

I do Triforce -> WE (if I need mr) or Randuin (for armor) or Gunblade (for more damage) into the other 3 then Nashor's tooth or GA if it gets really late game.

Ryze Overload stats at levels 1/3/5/7/9, assuming he starts with Sapphire Crystal then gets boots and upgrades to Catalyst by level 7:
Range 675; Mana cost 70; CD 3.5; Damage 80/113/146/189/222; gives 2/4/6/8/10% CDR
Soraka Starcall stats at the same levels assuming 0 AP:
Hits all targets in range 660; Mana cost 35/40/45/50/55; CD 2.5; Damage 60/85/110/135/160; shreds 8/9/10/11/12 mres per cast
Now, you could argue that Overload sucks during the laning phase (and it kind of does), but Starcall's looking a little ridiculous atm.
