Morde in duo is awful because he likes to push and steal all the creeps. Vlad is actually highly effective in a duo, however. Definitely not highly effective. He won't feed, but he needs a solo lane.

What does he do for the first 9 levels besides flop around like a dead fish? o.o

Vlad has no real lane control until he can level Q to the point where its both spammy and deadly. Putting him in a duo delays that, although after the solo lane XP change, the difference is smaller.

Vlad is a good Duo Laner, really good harass. and i dont mind being Morde Duo that much if u have to, cause i still like him late game despite the lesser farm.

Fiddle is so insanely squishy and the skills you would use to escape are all going to be on cooldown because you want to initiate and use them throughout the fight. This is unlike, say, ryze who really doesn't need to use his rune prison -all the time- because the other team has committed. Or another example is kog'maw. He doesn't have to use his slow puddle -all the time- to be effective in a fight and can save it for escaping. Fiddle is useless without using fear/silence whenever they are off cooldown.
Add to this his ult is the biggest "KICK ME" sign in the game.

The thing that bothers me most about Fiddle is that his damage is so front-loaded into his Ultimate. No team with half a brain is going to let you Drain for meaningful damage in a team-fight, and Dark Wind is just so unreliable for pushing damage onto someone (oh, look, it never bounced back to your first target and hit a bunch of creeps instead, so you did like 100 damage). So then you're left in this spot where itemizing for spell damage makes your ult stay relevant but doesn't *really* help any of your other abilities.
EDIT: I'm probably being overly harsh, maybe Fiddle's playstyle just rubs me the wrong way.

Fiddle is fine. He's like alistar and requires a lot more effort and proper positioning to pull off well. You cannot be the first one into a team fight as fiddle and more often than not need to bait the enemy team into a terrible position and ult from the brush.
Good fiddles can carry teams, bad ones flop easily.

I'm pretty sure the big windup, giant audio cue, and huge red circles beats out a spinning character animation.

Yeah, but you can usually fear the one person on their team who has a brain and reads the "KICK ME" sign. If they have more than person who can read, you are out of luck though.

Locodoco figured out a before 3 minute dragon with fiddlesticks from both sides without blue elixir, it's actually pretty legit.

You'd really have to take that risk to make fiddle anywhere near worth it while jungling. He just gets crushed so hard by like every other jungler early on lol

I actually think he's easy to disrupt but SUPER HARD to kill. Fear + drain + dark wind and it's like WTF IM DYING RUN DONT MAKE ME LOOK DUMB DYING @ GANK lol.

Fiddle level 6 towerdive on the duo lane is super dangerous.

that's a really good analysis

What are your thoughts on tank fiddle, thinking about items like Randuin's, Abyssal, Void Staff. The idea would be to max Dark Wind and of course your ult. Then ult into a fight, activate Randuins and Dark Wind and CAWCAWCAWCAWCAW. Dark Wind protects you from some of the magic damage, Randuin's provides great protection against autoattacks, and your enemies can't really run thanks to the slow. Void Staff because of the terrible AP scaling (1000 AP for double damage lololol).
