Fiddle can poke easily with E because you can use minions to chain to champions if they want to sit close to their turret, you will waste some bounces but because of the random nature of 10 bounces for ~100 damage could easily wreck a carry or support and give you a good chance to take a turret. If someone tries to initiate (like ww or shen) you just fear them, or if a friend is too close silence. Fiddle is a short range turret of piss you off, similar to lux, but with shorter range and no skill shots. WW's and vlad's are my favorite targets. After only a few fights they realize you are going to completely fuck over their damage so they target you first (which is fine, because then they aren't going for someone important). Fiddle sucks at soloing champions, his only single target damage is drain (which you shouldn't max first if the other team has any cc, and you should never just line up with another if someone knows what a fiddle is), but in team fights, he shuts down lots of champions hard. Vlad specifically is a favorite of mine to focus and kass only if you have a banshies veil to mess up his burst combo. Morg's shield reduction was a huge buff for fiddle, since it used to leave their initiator with only a 2 second gap to have their stuff broken by me. I very rarely use ult, because *needing* to ult makes you worthless for the other 2 minutes that your ult is down. I'll also edit in this part, fiddle can't gank before 6. If you get ganked by a fiddle that isn't 6, you're fucking terrible. Fiddle is base speed 300, the slowest in the game, he has the shortest range of all champions for his auto and abilities. Also, no I'm not going to ult in when I have 20% of my hp, fiddles ult is a 2.5 minute cd. In a 25 minute game it maybe only be possible to ult a total of 4 times, if don't right once it's off cd and right when it's on, which would never happen. 25 minute surrender, possible 3 fiddle ults. With team fights happening every 60-100 seconds, people always bitch that I didn't use my ult when their ult was up, I swear it's the fucking longest in the game. | ||

And Randuin's >>> Rylai's in terms of AoE slow. I'd rather get off 1 more tick of damage thanks to better slow than increase my damage per tick by (at most) 8%. Of course Rylai's has the advantage that it works with Drain and Dark Wind, while Randuin's is only really useful when you can ult into a teamfight. Well yeah, that's my reasoning behind that build, but I am sooo bad with Fiddle that it doesn't matter what I build... | ||

In Fiddle's case, you will most likely get much more damage out of MPen than AP. You also have to consider the cooldown or rather the number of spells you can cast during a battle. For example Kassadin can often spam his E and R 5+ times during a single fight, giving him decent damage for his AP. Fiddle's ult is a once per fight thing and therefore you don't get very much damage per AP even if you hit it for the full duration. | ||
